Last week it was RAM; this week it's storage. Crucial and Micron are taking flak again for botched warranty support on a faulty X10 Pro drive, but the growing issue seems to be industry-wide. Are AI profits really worth forgetting about regular consumers?

windowscentral.comAfter botching RAM warranty claims, Micron and Crucial are now using similar excuses to get out of replacing faulty SSDsAs memory and storage makers make the pivot to AI customers and rake in record profits, regular consumers are being denied proper warranty claims for faulty RAM and SSDs. Is there any recourse?

UPDATE 4/10: The news you've all waited for - we expect to open northbound I-5 by 5am Thurs (4/16), pending final evaluation of the slope. If that inspection finds something that needs to be addressed, opening may be delayed. Crews working around the clock hauling debris.

UPDATE 4/9: We continue to process and haul debris from the site. Last night we removed nearly 1,000 cubic yards of material. We also expect to finish installing rock dowels to stabilize the slope & begin testing them Friday. Northbound I-5 remains closed south of Bellingham.

The father of my children had haemochromatosis - undiagnosed until he went into liver failure. He received a transplant, but died from complications five years later. His dad was Scottish and his mum was Welsh. This condition is far more common - and far more dangerous - than many realise 💔
