Why does news just report whatever they claim? If I claim that the president is a pedophile will they just print that too? <checks notes> Sorry, bad example. But the answer is still no. They won't print what I say, true or not, but they print whatever he wants, no questions asked.
The administration makes releases like this understanding the mainstream media will absolutely never put it in context. It’s like saying Government Issues Alert On Possible Ghost Attacks. The first time I realized this exploit was when Bush did his terror alert bullshit.

The generality principle of the Rule of Law is its most essential concept. A class of people outside criminal law is incompatible with a law-based society.

Have you noticed how many of us are sick or ailing in some way? It’s a full-on assault on our systems. If we were like them and did not give a shit about anything but ourselves, this would not be affecting us like this. Still, we will persist. substack.com/@psychopete1...

The treatment of Republicans by media seems to match the ownership. Not new or weird, but I am tired of it.
I remember when media did a whole bunch of stories about Joe Biden’s shoes to emphasize that he was old. But Trump can randomly blurt out random noises, fall asleep constantly in meetings, and walk like a drunk failing a sobriety test, and we get almost nothing.
@chrismurphyct.bsky.social needs to be Majority Leader.
JD - I've got 15 free minutes before my son's hockey practice ends, so let me see how many of Trump's enrichment schemes you didn't see that I can remind you of. 1/ First one is easy: Trump has executed over 30,000 stock trades, many on inside information, netting him millions.

Trump loves that Vivek Ramaswamy ad exploiting the family tragedy in which his opponent was raped as a child. Trump says God deserves thanks for the ad. Only fake Christians could vote for these lowlife Republicans.
Trump on what he told Vivek Ramaswamy about his vile ad: "I told him, Leave it up! And look upstairs and say, Thank you God very much, I appreciate it!"

I, for one, have longed for humanity to be interstellar or at least space-faring species. But it's certainly not our destiny or even our collective wish to be. It can be a goal to spread beyond our planet but nothing requires or expects it on an evolutionary or logical basis. This is weird god talk.
Absolutely not. Humans evolved to live on Earth and there’s no other place that has the right amount of everything we need, like climate, liquid water, mix of oxygen and non-toxic gases in the atmosphere, magnetic field, gravity, puppies, kittens, etc.

Expand the court and bring in term limits and ethics rules. Then make it clear that businesses are not "people" and that unlimited election money is not a thing. And that Presidents are subject to laws. (Oh, and release the Epstein Files.)
Not long ago, Elon Musk’s unprecedented election donations would have been illegal — but now it’s not thanks to a reckless Supreme Court and paralyzed FEC. Such spending should be made illegal again. bit.ly/4ykN5fi

Opinion: AI oligarchs wrote this. Only people who make money off this technology think it's as good as the real thing. The real thing is superior to AI *even if the result is identical* because higher education is about the one being educated not the result. I'm surprised you haven't learned that.
Opinion: If AI is now part of academic writing, what should institutions actually evaluate? This essay argues that analytical writing should be judged by evidence, structure, argument, and accountability not by guesses about how each sentence was produced. https://chroni.cl/4eDRdjg
This makes the plan obvious: cause enough service members to leave voluntarily so that those left are the most racist for when the military needs to be used against the populous.
These are the same monuments that were removed by an act of Congress, so yet another example of this administration ignoring the law passed by a branch of government

Dear @houserepublicans.bsky.social @housedemocrats.bsky.social For almost a year Donald J. Trump has been in gross violation of the Epstein Files Transparency Act. None of you have done anything to start impeachment for this evil lawlessness act. So one question: Why are you enabling pedophiles?
It's been almost one year since Congress gave the DOJ thirty days to release the Epstein files. It still has not.
Oh god, I hope seniors don't feel obligated to get out to vote for him returning $90 of the tens of thousands they put into the system for years Terrible rate of return to vote for the guy that increased your grocery costs by the same amount per quarter.
