Somehow missed this yesterday, but Inset was covered by Stephen Robles on his YouTube channel (2nd app in the video!) Real full circle moment for me to have my app start getting coverage from creators I follow. Also Stephen is much better at explaining my app than I am. ⏹️

Helped flip a seat in Florida to a Democrat with my vote! SD-14. Win margin was 0.5%!!! I grew up in Miami, FL and when I left I was still undocumented and about to turn 21. Every time I get to vote in Florida since moving back here in 2022 feels special, but this one particularly.

I have an app on the App Store. It's called Inset, a Mac utility I've wanted for a really long time. Create resizable floating live previews of any app region, an export, an AFK game, a video call, whatever, even if you have other apps covering it. Oh, and there's a companion iOS app too.

Yes, I used AI to make this, specifically Codex. Yes, I've already used this to keep track of a video export while on the toilet. Whole new level of doom scrolling. There's a v1.1 update coming soon with some nifty features too. apps.apple.com/us/app/inset...

The app collects no user data, there are no user accounts to create, and the iOS/iPadOS app connection happens over your local network (using Bonjour) so there's no cloud data transfer involved.

Sure everyone has a little "AI is coming for your job" anxiety, but who else has YouTubers making videos specifically about how to do their job with AI? (i'm a Johnny Harris video editor)

Damn, Claude eats through tokens in like two tasks using Sonnet. With Codex it's actually *difficult* to reach the rate limit for the week/5 hour limit, even mostly using High reasoning on 5.2 model. Am I missing something? The plans are the same price.

This reminds me of the old adage, "Never work for Jack Dorsey under any circumstances"

Was at the point where my M1 Pro with 16GB was no longer cutting it for my work as a video editor (especially when After Effects is involved, but Premiere is a memory hog too.) Still impressive how much you *can* do with an M1 and so little RAM, but this is so much better.

Happy New Year. It's officially 2026 now cuz I don't recognize the last eight weeks of bullshit from the Gregorian calendar. Let me have this.

You walk into this bar and show your ICE mugshot, you don't pay a dime.

Scrolling through the photos of Pam Bondi's "Minnesota rioters," it's just hero after hero. Every photo includes a cowardly DHS agent with their back to the camera. Bondi thinks she's going to win the propaganda war with this shit, but it's never been more clear that they're losing.

This is so funny because Palantir is basically an Oracle database for killing people

just finished an early screening of Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die and it was so fun and campy! They did a good job of delivering a message (AI bad) without being obnoxious, which is hard.
