The Supremes really are trying to hasten the death of our democracy.

The Washington Post@washingtonpost.com

Breaking news: The Supreme Court cleared the way for the Trump administration to restrict a Biden-era policy that allows immigration judges to use their discretion to close thousands of deportation cases each year.

College students outsmart Republicans putting obstacles in their way. Again.

Gerry Cohen@gercohen.bsky.social

After the campus site at N.C. State was moved 1.2 miles away to make it inconvenient for college students to vote, many NCSU students adapted, see message I just got from one. Votes will be in other counties rather than Wake, may have more impact in competitive #ncga races. #ncpol

Random but I’m surprised that when Trump spells his name in capital letters it doesn’t turn them gold. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Musk finally admits he helped Putin murder Ukrainians by restricting speed to his Starlink internet in Ukraine More evidence he is a sociopath & should never have this much power to wield www.cbc.ca/news/world/u...

cbc.caMusk says he was behind Starlink speed restriction in Ukraine | CBC NewsElon Musk said on Saturday that his company SpaceX had throttled the Starlink satellite internet service in Ukraine, disrupting operations that the country relies on to defend itself against Russia.
Flingjore@flingjore.com

Ukraine’s military operations hit a sudden wall when their Starshield internet slowed to a halt. While Kyiv initially pointed the finger at SpaceX, Elon Musk is shifting the blame to Washington, revealing that Donald Trump and the Pentagon are controlling the satellite limits.

It sounds like hyperbole to suggest the current administration WANTS measles to become common again but I can’t think of much they’d be doing differently if they didn’t want that. (I think some of them really are eugenicists who legit prefer disease spread to prevention; others just don’t care)

David Ho@davidho.bsky.social

The CDC denied a request from California, Hawaiʻi, Oregon, and Washington to validate a high-volume measles test, citing “other priorities.” 🤨

Ralph Reed, doubting the power of Democratic candidates in the ministry: “Voters will not vote for a candidate who professes to hold to their faith, but doesn't share their values.” Trump’s religious values include racism, bigotry, corruption, greed, adultery, etc. www.axios.com/2026/10/23/d...

axios.comThe religious left makes a play for red-state conservativesThere's a clear movement on the religious left — but the question remains whether voters will join it.

“But it is simply astonishing that the president of the United States, the commander in chief of the United States military, is suggesting he had to negotiate with a private citizen to tell him to stop interfering with American foreign policy.” Now, imagine what MAGA would do if this were Biden.

THEY ARE NOT POWERLESS TO STOP HIM! Go back to Washington, stand on the steps of the Capitol and demand Johnson and Thune recall the House and Senate, and impeach him. THIS IS HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO WORK! THERE IS LITERALLY AN INSTRUCTION MANUAL! (It's called the Constitution.)

Republican lawmakers are incensed about Trump's dismissal of Ukraine — and powerless to stop him. That frustration hit a new peak on Monday as they sought to address Trump’s decision to purchase Russian diesel, waive sanctions on Moscow, and potentially stop sharing intelligence with Ukraine.

Katie Zacharia was “transitioning” out of the role. When I was a boss I had the experience of “transitioning” people out of their roles.

“here we are, watching one profoundly unpopular man tear apart the global system under which we have lived for eighty years in order to climb into bed with Vladimir Putin.”

I admit I’d have to think harder than I’m willing to on how to report on the Trump administration, but ever taking this president at his word on anything borders on bad journalism.

Did you see Trump wander away from his security after his Dalton Georgia rally? bsky.app/profile/thec...

The Clear Cider@theclearcider.bsky.social

Holy schmidt !!! Leaving his Georgia rally, Trump misses the open door to The Beast, then wanders around front confused, as his security panics & redirects him back to his limo. Trump waves it off, hoping no one noticed.

Katie Zacharia was in the middle of an interview with WSJ when she was ousted. She was telling The Journal about her plans for the role. Then Jason Miller knocked on her door. 'JD wanted to chat with us real quick.' Zacharia never returned — to the interview, or the job.

Trump is forever re-aligning the world order and not in a good way. He sticks his finger in Congress’s eye and they do nothing but write inquisitive letters.

The first power cuts are already hitting many regions of Ukraine today, including western Ukraine. And it’s Saturday, when we usually have fewer restrictions than on working days. Looks like russia hit too many energy facilities last night Another reminder of what winter in Ukraine may look like💔

Trump raises his middle finger to Sen. Budd & Congress and exempts Russia from a new sanctions measure that Congress passed last month, offering another economic lifeline to Putin.

Trump fires a lot of the “best people” who always seem to be women but never men. Do all the incompetent men know what’s in the Epstein files?
