I’m seeing a lot of talk about AI agents are going to replace software. I’ll admit that I think there is some truth in this thesis, but I also think humans will still want to create and consume with software tools. I don’t need 95% of Photoshop but I want to consume 100% of the final product.

New beta updates across all the apps today. Nether Wallop parser engine received a massive speed performance boost which will be reflected in all GrueWeaver exported stories. NetherWallop.com GrueWeaver.com ChooseWeaver.com #indiedev #indiegame #interactivefiction #adventuregame #writer #fiction

netherwallop.comNether Wallop — a parser adventure for readersA world you explore in your own words, that remembers what you did. Told in screenplay style, by J.P. Freeman.

And introducing its sibling desktop app, ChooseWeaver. Now available for public beta. It’s the choice-based version - chooseweaver.com If you feel inclined, I’m welcoming beta testers. #interactivefiction #indiedev #adventuregames

Building Nether Wallop with dozens of command-line scripts made me wish for a GUI editor. Today I’m launching the beta desktop app GrueWeaver - grueweaver.com - to do exactly that. If you feel inclined, I’m welcoming beta testers. #interactivefiction #indiedev #adventuregames

I really don’t know why Microsoft web tech is so brittle. Trying to push a build into the partner center, and it’s just not happening. There’s JavaScript errors and broken 404, ugh.#indiedev #indielife

Welp, after over 30 years with Adobe, I’m finally saying goodbye. Definitely was a love/hate relationship, and boy, the times are changing. Almost 99% of my needs today, I do with small indie made apps. It was just that “one” use case that kept me. To infinity and beyond! #indiedev

As much as I really hate the Adobe subscriptions & noise, I find myself coming back to Ps & Ai. Anyways, here's a sneak peak of an unannounced software app that helped my author Nether Wallop. Something new, something blue, something Grue? #indiedev #interactivefiction #textadventure #screenwriter

Spent the morning flushing out minor UI/UX fixes for the upcoming iPhone Duo. I will say, these foldable devices have really caught my eye. My upcoming app/e-book/game/thing, Nether Wallop, is looking pretty good on the iPhone Duo. #indiedev #screenplay #screenwriting #textadventure #adventuregame

After years of pushing Nether Wallop betas into the Apple App Store & Google Play, we're now fully in sync with Microsoft Store releases with version 82. If you're interested in being beta tester, hit me up. We push betas to the Stores every Wednesday. #indiedev #interactivefiction #gamedev

Forgot to post a couple weeks ago, that we also refreshed our website: netherwallop.com It talks about the game, how it's made, privacy, screenshots and a video preview. Let me know what you think, cheers! #indiedev #interactivefiction #indiegames #adventuregame

Reviewed Nether Wallop's online stores fronts this morning in the iOS App Store, Mac App Store, Google Play Store, and the Microsoft Store. (Steam coming later this year). Here's what will be live on the iOS App Store in the next month. #interactivefiction #textadventure #indiegame #gamedev

Found my old Nether Wallop composition notebook. In this photo, I’ve drawn my ideas on actors’ combat ranges at different terrains: air, land, sea, sea ice, and subsea. Not dated, but it’s likely from the Covid days, 2020-21. #interactivefiction #textadventure #indiegame #gamedev #adventuregame

A Nether Wallop hand drawing - this one, a locker of spacesuits in a sunken space shuttlecraft. All characters, inventory items, structures, & objects have a graphic. And yes, graphics can be turned off for a pure text adventure experience. #interactivefiction #textadventure #indiegame #gamedev

Follow up on my last post, this is modern programming. Tracking this bug down, fixing, and testing would have taken me at least 3+ hours to half a day. I gave this to my chief of staff agent, George. He dispatched our engineer, Eugene to fix, then Quinn to validate and write tests - all in 5 mins.

I started my Nether Wallop project almost 10 years ago doing 100% of the software programming. One year ago, I was doing 90% of the programming. Today, I'm doing 1% programming. I have created a company of six full-time AI Agents. #interactivefiction #textadventure #indiegame #gamedev

Answering publicly, yes, Nether Wallop will be on Steam, however, not the initial release next month, will on Steam by this Christmas. Being an Indie dev takes patience - our initial release will be on the Apple, Google, and Microsoft Stores. #interactivefiction #textadventure #indiegame #gamedev

Impressive product offering from Apple today, sadly, I’m not in the market for a new phone, I tend to upgrade every other version. I am in the market for new AirPods though ;)

Published our new super simple website today, getting ready for the The Chronicles of Nether Wallop and the Five Bells app release. #interactivefiction #textadventure #indiegame #gamedev

There's an old map of my neighborhood in Atlanta that labels it Nether Wallop, I’m near where the Ponce de Leon Springs used to come up. Nether Wallop is also a village in Hampshire. The name is Old English: roughly "the lower valley of springing water." Somebody knew what they were naming.

From Nether Wallop, a text adventure I've been writing. It reads like a Kindle or an Apple Book. More soon. #interactivefiction #textadventure #indiegame #gamedev #amwriting #screenplay

For anyone who’s been wondering what I’ve been quiet about: I’ve spent two+ years writing a text adventure. Not a choice-based one. You type what you want to do, in your own words, and it works out what you meant. Turns out that’s hard. It’s nearly finished. I’ll be showing bits of it here.

This should be the biggest story in the country right now. The sitting US President was extorting state lawmakers from his own party by threatening to withhold public money if they didn’t gerrymander for him. I don’t know how else to say it…

I just don’t see how we can pretend even for a moment that anything involving our federal government is remotely normal when the president is covering up his involvement in a child sex trafficking ring. Like, what are we doing here

Excessive force. PERIOD! They called them “violent mobs,” but the violence came from the guys with badges and body armor. 📌 Keep sharing videos, everyone, because they’re evidence.

Mike Johnson lies shamelessly: "Why do we say the Republican Party is the only one advancing common sense reform solutions? Because we've proven it. We did it in the big beautiful bill. We took a look at Medicaid & we took on that challenge. We took action to reduce fraud, waste & abuse in Medicaid"

I have been charged in a federal indictment sought by the Department of Justice. This political prosecution is an attack on all of our First Amendment rights. I’m not backing down, and we’re going to win.

Friday’s SCOTUS decision was issued in a brief, unsigned order that contained virtually no reasoning. It was accompanied by no signed opinions from any of the justices in the majority and over opposition from the three Democratic appointees. Only Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson wrote.

the funny thing about the constant misappropriation of MLK is that the guy left a massive body of writing specifically aimed at explaining his views of those of the movement he represented to the broad public. it is extremely easy to know what the guy thought on a variety of subjects and yet
