The chance to keep global warming below 1.5°C with no overshoot is gone. But urgent action can still limit the overshoot and bring warming back to 1.5°C by 2100. Current policies, however, put the 🌎 on course for up to 2.8°C this century. New #EmissionsGap Report: https://ow.ly/SNHX50ZZz8l

I gave it a try to #Popfeed (ATprotocol) to have a record of the films I watch but somehow I don't enjoy the UI - it feels cumbersome. I haven't tried #Letterboxd so far. I have read good things about it but it isn't a federated service. Anything else I could have a look to?

I have seen these AI-generated short-drama videos in China and I guess we will be soon flooded with content like that. It looks terrible but I guess writers are doing a good job (they still hire human script writers).

China’s short drama industry is fueled by bite-sized, melodramatic, and smutty shows built for smartphone scrolling. Now, many are being made entirely with AI: no actors, camera operators, cinematographers, or CGI specialists required.

Arriving to the International Aerosol Conference in Xi'an. Looking forward to the exciting talks that are planned and to fruitful discussions with my peers 🧑‍🔬 #IAC2026

I have been mapping for #meshcore in Poland these days using #meshmapper. I was impressed by the activity around Poznan. It seems they have a pretty active community.

Happy birthday to pharmaceutical #chemist Alice Ball (1892-1916) who developed 1st effective treatment for #leprosy. 🧪🐡👩🏿‍🔬#histsci Though her life was cut tragically short, her research saved 1000s from exile & painful, ineffective lifelong treatment for leprosy, & she was a trailblazer for

I am really impressed by @sifa.id and how importing data from linkedin works so well 🙌 It is actually quite cool to have aggregated ATmosphere activity in one place. I was wondering if you could check if there is a way to get rid of cross-posting between grain and bluesky. CC @gui.do

This is a good example of the permissionless innovation happening in the #Atmosphere: create an initial LinkedIn-style site you can access via your existing Bluesky/Blacksky/Eurosky/etc. account, then add more and more features leveraging your existing personal data in the Atmosphere and beyond.

Sifa ID@sifa.id

If you go to your personal Sifa Page at page.sifa.id/<@handle>/now, it now shows your personal heatmap and activitystream. (Check nownownow.com/about for the history of the /now page :))

When utilized in literature review, LLMs consistently 1. fail to mention female authors in female-led literatures, 2. insist that men are more influential or more heavily cited when this is contradicted by objective citation counts, and 3. attribute women’s work to hallucinated male scholars.

Just learned about {tidyplots} today. Having used ggplot2 for years, I wonder if I should try it out. It seems quite limited. Anyone using it? #rstats

You are up to date.
