Do as I say, not as I do: "U.S. officials accuse Canada of midterm meddling — but Trump has endorsed foreign candidates. U.S. Embassy declines to comment when asked about Trump's endorsements." www.cbc.ca/news/politic...
The Trump administration’s combative approach to Canada appears to be softening slightly, just days before midterm elections in the U.S. where tariff fueled inflation is a primary concern for voters.
The president is demanding that Republican Senate candidates stand next to him at rallies where he talks about asses (mostly one man’s) and brags about making gas prices higher.
If his candidates lose, it’s because the elections were rigged.
Trump laments animals being fried to death on solar panels, gushes once again about Jon Husted's ass (but disses Ken Paxton's), and brags about "making an absolute fortune" off the Iran War during an uninhibited even by his standards rally in Lubbock
Supercut:
Trump: "When you say the last 7 months you've produced more oil, more everything, you've made more money than you have ever made. You know why? What happened 7 months ago? The war. Now, when I say it, they said, 'Oooooh, that's so terrible.' We're making an absolute fortune."
Will Chamberlain of the Thiel-backed Edmund Burke Foundation (which organizes NatCon) says that “The Brazilian regime should look carefully at what has happened to Venezuela and Cuba, and remember that this hemisphere belongs to the United States of America.” 1/
Minneapolis Public Schools just emailed to say that enrollment is down this year—likely due to Metro Surge—with 900 fewer English Language Learners compared to this time last year. An estimated $12.9 million less revenue for our schools.
The impacts of ICE on our community continue to mount.
(🚨) ANNOUNCEMENT: PROOF is now doing what no other outlet has, and what no form of journalism other than metajournalism *can*—it’s itemizing 100 ways Trump is working to steal the midterms.
Not minor assaults. Not rumors. Confirmed schemes—sourced and cited. Here’s Part III. Please share it widely.
Judge has dismissed superseding charges against FBI agents because prosecutors inexplicably failed to obtain the required finding of probable cause from a judge. Incompetent or lawless? Both?

BREAKING: Nearly 3000 voters in one Georgia county haven't received their absentee ballots yet, putting them at risk of missing the Election Day deadline to vote by mail.
They're asking a judge to order the county to overnight their ballots to avoid being disenfranchised.
He could not care less about the struggles of Americans. Keep talking, Donald. Soon you’ll find out what the majority thinks of your sociopathic indifference.
Trump's affordability message: "You could even come to Mar-a-Lago. You'll be my guest. The problem is that for $5,000 the most you'll be able to buy is a hamburger and maybe a small dessert. I'm not even sure you could buy that! No, don't go there. It's not a good place if you're price conscious."
The gang that couldn't shoot straight. Federal grand jury rejected DOJ's attempt to indict former WH aide Cassidy Hutchinson. A manifestly just result, but really how low can they go? My previous substack:

"Even by the standards of this administration, the pursuit of Cassidy Hutchinson may be its nastiest and most repulsive move yet. . . The hounding of Hutchinson has an outsize moral dimension that lays bare the rot at the heart of the administration."

NEWS: A federal grand jury has REJECTED the Trump DOJ's attempt to indict former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson over her January 6 testimony, a Justice Department source confirms to MeidasTouch Network.
That’s a staggering fact to take in: About 1/3 of U.S. counties are now contractually partnered with ICE—to say nothing of all the counties assisting ICE more informally.
I wrote recently about what this type of collaboration can do to communities: boltsmag.org/frederick-co...
This is highly suggestive of a senior government officer on the take. “Hegseth reported at least $3.1mn in cash, retirement investments and bitcoin in his newly released 2025 annual financial disclosure. One bank account held more than $1mn, compared with a normal $15,001–$50,000 range for an
The Trump DOJ citing the *preamble* to a 1993 federal law about voter registration for the proposition that Trump can demand that federal judges preemptively overturn an election result is, even in Trump DOJ-adjusted terms, one of the craziest legal arguments I've ever read
The US census has included demographic questions—including on race and ethnicity—since 1790. A new proposal would remove some of them.
We launched an investigation seeking records on who orchestrated the unprecedented changes, along with LDF and the NAACP.

A protester yelled "Shove that ballroom up your fat ass" to Trump at his rally in Mississippi on Monday night. This clip contains two versions of the moment. The first is how it aired on a livestream. In the second I increased the audio for that moment.
This is the kind of reporting and needed perspective and context we will lose when/if @restofworld.org shuts down:

I'm running out of ways to convey how unserious the lawyers at Trump's DOJ are. The dregs of the conservative legal movement firing up ChatGPT to cobble together harebrained arguments that would be embarrassing for a junior law firm associate. Get these losers out of my face.
