CBS deleted this post and reposted it admitting that their original one was misleading. And the misleading post from CBS was intentionally misleading, not an innocent mistake. CBS continues to lose credibility.

93% of Latinos who voted for Trump in 2024 approved of Trump’s job as president at the start of his second term. Now, 57% say this.

Many Latino voters will have evaded ICE by voting early

NEW: An army of volunteers and activists across the US have been training for months to face down ICE at the polls on election day. The message they have for the Trump administration? "We're ready" 1/ www.wired.com/story/massiv...

Obama could have finished Trump if he had said the Cheesecake Factory's server is named Natalie

“We beat the absolute hell out of low-dollar donors with texts and emails without expanding our [donor lists], and now no one pays attention,” said Wesley Donehue, a South Carolina-based GOP digital strategist.

Political fundraising is like a collective action problem. You can juice up donations with sky-is-falling appeals but every time you do you lose some donors. Every campaign has the incentive to juice up their donations to the long-term detriment

I would like to report the owner of Mar-a-Lago who signed an oath under penalty of felony perjury that the White House was his *Florida* voter registration residence Oh wait, he has to be arrested and convicted. darn

Trump: "Anybody reporting Voter Fraud in the past Elections, or the upcoming 2026 Midterm Election, will be paid $1,000,000 upon the arrest and conviction of those that created the Fraud! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP"

It’s just so appalling and enraging how casual and commonplace this has become. I’m out of words.

This report is genuinely overwhelming, in terms of the evidence both against Trump and of a ham-fisted cover-up. Including one instance in which Ghislaine Maxwell was actually about to mention one of Trump's young accusers and Todd Blanche told her to stop talking. The media response is "yawn."

I know there's a lot going on but I feel it should probably be more of an above-the-fold story that members of Congress released a thoroughly documented report directly accusing the president of the United States of being a serial rapist.

Also Trump: everyone gets a check for whatever I say today that they get a check for

I am aware many campaigns use the early voting dashboard, even if the usual suspect pundits who have poll average products to sell disparage early voting

It's also been enormously helpful for the campaign I'm on.

I didn't know Trump was only playing the role of the ugly American

The New York Times@nytimes.com

In @nytopinion.nytimes.com President Trump seems not to understand that the global standing of the United States suffers when our leaders play into the stereotype of the ugly American, writes the Times editorial board.

In his acceptance speech, Lula says he will work to regulate digital platforms in Brazil. “Digital crimes must be dealt with like real-life crimes.” This comes after Meta directly interfered with the Brazilian elections, favouring Flávio Bolsonaro.

A reporter asked to respond to Nate Silver attacking early voting, and here it is: I don't care. The dashboard has >1 million page views. I've lost count of the media orgs redistributing my data. My substack is blowing up. We're close to Election Day so there is no new info to learn from polls

With Hispanics turning out two to three times their 2022 levels in places like GA, NC, and now FL where states report race/Hispanic ethnicity data, the most reasonable interpretation is that Hispanics are leading the turnout charge in Texas

The crime happens if a Democrat is elected. Anywhere

Had to fix a few bugs in the code, like a stray Pasco County provisional ballot that broke my Florida county scraper (at least it is now more robust), Oregon changing the location of their numbers by a pixel on the pdf (spreadsheet anyone?), and California now reporting in-person numbers

Even at the time I said that Republican gerrymanders were not enough, and may even backfire. The doomsayers overstated the effects by using the 2024 election as the baseline, which was and is silly. 2024 is probably the absolute best Republicans can do

John Bisognano@johnbisognano.com

Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans dropped $200M on mid-decade gerrymandering expecting a guaranteed House majority. His plan fell flat on its face. I sat down with CNN yesterday to break down how AG @ericholder.bsky.social and the NDRC helped us get to this point.
