Hi, new followers. I'm an independent games writer with work all over the place, and I make long, preposterous YT series annotating games like this one youtube.com/playlist?lis...

I don't think enough of you are talking about what's going on with Tekken 6 (of all things) right now

New episode is up. I know the really interesting stuff is off in the distance, but you'll still love this, I promise: www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3iF...

Oh man. RIP Chekov

The Jack of "Jack and Diane" and the guy with the fast car in "Fast Car"

Congrats to Lula on overcoming Mark Zuckerberg and Donald Trump to defeat Hospital Pervert Jr., even as his opposition literally blocked off roads and turned off bus service during election day. Fascists are scary but they are always, 100% of the time, ultimately gigantic fucking losers.

It's that "scold people in the comments" time of the morning

Incredible read on the damage that will be inflicted on Ohio defector.com/vivek-ramasw...

Shoutout to people in the video game industry (some of them my friends) that are so frequently screwed over that they change careers entirely

Of course Trump is embracing and pushing this bullshit attack ad. Not believing or blaming the victim is his own putrid life code

I know it's a meme but, I'll admit, this one got me. 😔

Part of my literal job is to fly out to physical game studios to rescue and recover historical materials that might be endangered and put them in a permanent archive. @gamehistoryorg.bsky.social is a 501(c)3 publicly funded to do that, my DMs are open, and I'm free for the next couple weeks...

Casting a net of questionable size here, if you’re an ex-BioWare dev (or know of one who may not see this) working on something cool you’d like featured in a roundup at Kotaku, drop it below. Store page links helpful, and let me know what your role was at BW. Projects big and small welcome! RTs plz!

i wrote a little guide on physical fitness for trans people. i made it free because of how important this stuff is. if you like it, you can become a merritt+ member for only $5 a month, which is a huge help to me www.patreon.com/merrittk/pos...

Ramaswamy stooge Connie Luck claimed we "don't know what happened with Dr. Acton and her mother." Yet the historical record is clear, and Ramaswamy is platforming the mother who stayed married to Acton's rapist in a desperate attempt to save his political career. www.rooster.info/p/amy-acton-...

This is what I mean. This guy's whole deal has been slanderous AI television spots, but now it's cranked up to a degree even he won't even control. This turd learned from the worst of them when he was kicked out (!) of fucking DOGE, and now we're seeing it. Just a horrific maggot of a human being

Me playing Pro Wrestling

While I am certainly sick of political ads, what's happening in Ohio right now is the fucking nadir

I am having a lot of complex feelings about Belmont's Curse

Hey game critic friends. If you'll be reviewing GTA6 for your outlet and would be up for participating in a roundtable with other critics for Post Games that would air post-embargo, please shoot me a DM. (Still very much in "is this possible" phase, but would like to know who's available!)

Hell Yeah Alucard

People, we are one step closer

We're a year-old today! To celebrate, we're making five changes to the site — and dropping the price of our most popular paid subscription tier.

Tinkered around with Chained Echoes, a game that desperately wants to be Final Fantasy XII so much that it's making me just want to play Final Fantasy XII

for context:

Ok I've had it. Can someone point me in the direction of Konami influencer relations? I'm very serious right now

A Cleveland/ Milwaukee World Series may be the only way our nation can heal

Are you a video game professional working on something RAD and UPLIFTING? My first days writing for Vertical Slice have been filled with preposterously downbeat and altogether maddening stories. The news cycle is what it is, but I would love to get some good/fun/silly news on the feed. HMU!

Very good thread

Come on. You cannot be surprised by this

Holy cow! This opportunity changed my life nearly 20 years ago (& now there's a stipend!) If you are even remotely serious about making comics, learning the craft of storytelling and meeting amazing people you need to apply for this. I cannot stress enough how helpful it is if you put in the work.

Last call! Have the makings of a story but I'm always eager to hear more perspectives.

This is cool, but I do miss when we had music made specifically for movies

I usually go a few years between SOTN playthroughs, and in that time I slowly forget that it's one of the most fun games ever made. Then I start playing it and immediately remember that it is in fact one of the most fun games ever made. #crt #retrogaming #castlevania
