Linux Kernel removing the generated by AI tag is such a dumb move.....especially if when the hype has settled lawlsuits get thrown about over AI use.

Tim must be RATTLED to respond like that. Also Timmy just follows the money. for example Epic moved to console development and neglected Window's in the 00's due to "Pirates". But came back when market started to boom again Once the jig is up and the AI crash crashes. He'll start trashing AI.

The streamer awards speedrunner category is a crock of shit. Why are three of the nominees Minecraft runners?

not this decomp but wrote up a few notes on another one i saw earlier today, to hopefully inform people on just how bad AI decomp code really is. sure, maybe you get the outline of the code (but ghidra can do that too, without costing $56k) and even though this matches its completely unusable

This is a libdem bar chart. lmfao.

Chet Faliszek@chetsucks.com

This still is the funniest part of the Epic announcement... ignoring the jab at gabe but comparing their feature light early project as loading faster than steam! Tim might have wanted to keep some engineers around that could explain why this comparison isn't the big stab they should lead with...

>awful breakup >Joy Division T-shirt >hanging around the SONY offices. Kojima-sensai misses his ex 🥺

Say it with me now: 👏AI 👏 DECOMPS 👏 ARE 👏 NOT 👏 CLEAN 👏 ROOM 👏 REVERSE 👏 ENGINEERING 👏 Having one Model write the spec and have another write the code. When both models are trained on copyrighted code isn't clean at all.

Cool got xmcd to work on modern Linux. The readme is marked 2004 and the only thing that's rotted these 20 years is flac support. ALSA is bork'd but the OSS driver with pulseaudio proxy works just fine.

Youtuber: YOU'RE WRONG ABOUT THE HUGGING FACE ATTACK! Also youtuber: This Video is sponsored by AI Product. 🤔🤔🤔🤔

There's a comment that lives rent free in my head that was under a Simon Brodkin short. It goes something like "Wow, Bart Simpson does stand up now?"

Watching Vinny Vinesauce play Silent Hill:Townfall and I'm absolutely nostalgic for the old BT Telephone boxes. Ashame Konami couldn't get the rights to use the old BT logo tbh.

Hyper focused furry autistic pilot who knows the inns and outs of a 747 >>>>>>> Any other pilot.

Tommy Tuberville: Many airline pilots, flight attendants, and air traffic controllers are part of the furry community. It's terrifying.

This AI is going to end us all doomerism needs to fuck off. The only way it's going to ends us, is if someone uncritically believes its output and starts a war.

Milquetoast Ed Sheeran could have been saved if he did a SWOT analysis before booking Macklemore or by responding to the controversy by saying "Meh, it's his set" and ignored the critics and not sack him from the tour.

Been playing Pokemon Sword, It's a pretty fun game. Also the devs are Based and Burnham pilled for making "not manchester" the first city you visit.

He's the Christopher Nolan of video games, over budget and tech heavy. His last work death stranding didn't really appeal to me because it comes across as a horror and I'm not really into horror. however, the difference between Chris and Hideo's work is Hideo's work is actually good.

Kojima's PHYSINT was reportedly dropped after missing deadlines and going "well over budget," per Jason Schreier Neither Death Stranding game met Sony's sales expectations

The industry needs big budget artists like him to push the big budget industry and stop it from stagnating.

Gonna see if I can get this crusty 2000's version of outlook on my IBM Thinkpad to work with my emails. Granted I've set up a IMAP server to fetch them locally. so I'm gonna access through that which would have the SSL stripped. The biggest issues with "Vintage" computers is SSL and web browsing.

Worked and was very easy pz to set up. The proxy server uses dovecot and fetchmail to fetch from the real mail server and then the 2000's machine just logs into dovecot via outlook 5.

Windows 2000 is actually so so cosy as a OS. Running like butter on a Single core. I also got VSFTP 3.0.5 working on it

Ricing the R51. Win98 is technically not supported however 9x versions of the drivers in the hardware where released so it can be run and installed. It's a 2GB laptop with a little config hack it works and is surprisingly stable. Audio works, CD's work. Even USB worked. GPU is so iffy.

Using the internet with a retro browser (retrozilla) has made me realise the internet is too full of unneeded cruft.

Should be youse, init.

Minor point but I really hate this performative “y’all” people do to try and appear more folksy. I don’t type in a Yorkshire accent and I did people would rightly tell me to shut up.

looking up retro notebook computer's on ebay and wdym £250 quid for a 32bit paper weight from the late 90's? To put it into perspective that's like 41% of a base Mac Mini from Argos.

Wrote some GNUstep Obj-C code this evening after work. Was fun, got curl working. Now I need to finish the config class and get it to load a config file. But alas it's 1am and I need to work tomorrow lmao.

Whats with all the data collection questions lately? Well anyway: Describe your music taste in 3 artists, no genres 1) Boards of Canada 2) ЛИНДА 3) OASIS 😎

The only way to save Doctor Who is for the BBC to give the tender to Sunrise. You's know I'm right.

lmao, looking at old music I've written and I wrote so many songs in 2022 about nuclear annihilation.
