This is a cool project with a cute UI
the last 48 hours was time consuming because a lot of stuff i/wisp rely on were downstream of many of the CVEs released recently, as well as bugs wisp itself had. if wisp is useful to you, donations are much appreciated and keep things smooth: ko-fi.com/waveringana github.com/sponsors/Wav...

not sure if anyone from the bsky team could answer this, how come there's no rkey field in the `app.bsky.feed.defs#postView`? I feel it would be a bit more convenient than having to split a record's uri and get the rkey that way. #atproto @dholms.at
Jacky made a really good point here, just wanted to boost it. I don’t know what the right answer is because I’ve also seen people use similar labels to curb bad actors, but there are (hopefully unintentional) consequences!
damn 80% of blacksky got the AI hater label; it might as well be "hide the negros" label 😬
@natalie.sh it's fitting that 4 is one of the unlucky numbers in Chinese 四 more like 死 😔✌️⚰️
@anmaolchathach.bsky.social Cen Ghaeilge atá ar "the link is broken 💸"? Níl an nasc ag obair/Tá an nasc briste? Bhíos ag féachaint ar do shruth. streamlabs.com/sl_id_8c6abb...
@haskell.org I have a vague memory of work done at UC Riverside many years ago of someone working on a neural network library in Haskell that used category theory to model different types of networks. Does this ring any bells?
@djara.dev I discovered @witchsky.app has installable themes and I installed a "hotdog" theme and was promptly flashbang'd by the level of contrast 💥🌭⚰️ witchsky.app/profile/did:...
witchsky.app/profile/viel... new witchsky update looks baller (i ay unable to read what i write whadafuyq)
@jacky.blacksky.app I stand corrected, someone made a slopfork of @reactos.bsky.social (the clean-room implementation of Windows NT) libernt.com That seems like a legally... questionable thing to do b/c it kind of defeats the whole "clean-room" part.

@jacky.blacksky.app I found another vim-like github.com/martanne/vis with lua plugin support (probably not compatible with neovim though)

oh btw you can now watch @stream.place streams directly in the blacksky app now

I am keeping this thread alive because I talked about the stress of finding work and I think it’s only fair to talk about whatever’s the status with it as it goes along. The one I’m waiting for an offer notice from is the same one I made this candle ritual for: hopeful but it took nearly a month!
I think bluemoji ( @moji.blue ) is still being developed? Have there been other lexicon proposals for emoticons? cc: @lexicon.community
hey bsky nerds do y'all remember bluemoji has there ever been another custom emoji proposal for bsky??
@lenooby09.twinkers.online terrible idea: use something like @attested.network or @atmosphere.money 's lexicons for tracking in-minecraft currency for @atpcraft.at less terrible idea: in game couch+tv to watch @stream.place like @rpg.actor's theater or map art of @pinksea.art, @grain.social, etc
Japanese atproto devs are cool and deserve more attention in English-speaking dev spaces here
I develop and operate "Nagi", an AT Protocol-based social network that uses Bluemoji (@moji.blue) ! Although the user base is small, emojis are flying back and forth actively every day🥳 Thank you to @aendra.com!

Mochott, my AT Protocol blog platform that complies with standard.site, is growing steadily. It has everything you need, including an easy-to-use editor and scheduled posting. Although over 95% of our users are from Japan, it’s available worldwide. Be sure to give it a try! https://mochott.site/
context (if there is a better article let me know): www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026... but right off the bat, a Black person dying during a boat ride in Mississippi with a group of white dudes is super suspicious and this is definitely not the only case of such "mysterious" deaths
PSA: there's a @radicle.dev vuln tl;dr don't use private repos right now radicle.dev/2026/09/23/d...
@wake.st where's the pixelfed/vernissage camera :P
messing around with a grain camera prototype. native atproto support. photos sync to your pds whenever it connects to wifi.
@quillmatiq.com I just heard a real college student in a cafe just say “I wish I could go back on Yik Yak” in 2026 who are you why are you
@laurenshof.online came across this cute bespoke microblogging service randomly while surfing neocities status.cafe code: git.sr.ht/~m15o/status the original post about it: tildes.net/user/m15o
@lou.gg it's a conspiracy that people think "German" is a real and singular language www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnG3... The "German" language 🤝 Bielefeld not being real
Note: Do not harass people (including OP), people have different backgrounds and views wrt. technology. I'm quoting moreso b/c I'm tired about how "AI" gets collapsed into one thing. "Basic machine vision" predates LLMs/current "genAI" by several decades. Please read: witchsky.app/profile/did:...
Streamplace Found through through bluesky and their github, they claim they don't use gen-ai to 'train' from streams. But they don't state they don't use any or are against gen-ai. Contributor greptile-apps. bsky.app/profile/stre... github.com/apps/greptil...
addendum: @iame.li openly streams his development work on @stream.place and you can just ask him questions! At the end of the day* it's ok if you don't like how @stream.place is produced 🤷♂️ *edit: oof spelling
I feel like if @blackskyweb.xyz had their own @stream.place node and partnered with Mamdani to stream an address, @natalie.sh probably would just die happy <insert Mamdani streamplace theme> obligatory: pay people to make good stuff opencollective.com/blacksky contract @iame.li, @natalie.sh etc

@atproto.fr C'est la guerre!
Danielle got really annoyed with me when I asked her what the recent major achievements the French have given to the world. It was an earnest question though lol. I have no beef with the French, I just think they are a lot like New Yorkers in that they overestimate their cultural export impact.
@mackuba.eu TIL about en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silesia... from the wikipedia: Twice the Polish Sejm passed a bill recognizing it as a regional language, twice vetoed by the president Silesian can't get a break 🥀

Wow, two researchers were tackling the Navier-Stokes problem for a year without advertising their approach while using OpenAI models for assistance. When OpenAI hears of this they “discover” the exact same approach and won’t disclose whether their model plagiarized the researchers’ private sessions

I shouldn't have to say this but even if you think someone has a bad opinion, that's not a carte blanche license to harass trans people 🙃 this is just one example, I have seen more (+nasty screenshots): mu.social/profile/tifa... it's not AI-specific either this is just the most recent trend
I am trans and I use AI. I have received numerous death, rape, and kys threats on Bluesky. Every time it has been from an anti-AI activist. The anti-AI crowd is rotten and wouldn't act this way if they actually cared about trans safety. I am sick of my identity being used to defend this behavior.
