Can we stop with arguments involving how small the trans community is as a way to combat anti-trans legislation? Does it matter if there is only one athlete in the whole state? The argument implies there is a # high enough that the bullshit becomes worthy of consideration. There is no such number.

It is not a question of numbers, it is a question of morality. If you treat it as if a small enough population makes such efforts a waste of resources then you're telling me if it becomes large enough, the resources would then be well spent. If you don't think so, then drop the numbers bullshit

The people pushing anti-trans hatred don't care about the number because they are acting within their own sense of morality. A morality where trans people should not exist, in fact do not exist except as a mental illness. Your numbers game is worthless because even 1 trans person is a threat to them

This is a central nazi belief on a level that most Americans cannot comprehend. Because Adolf Hitler genuinely expected England to stay out of WW2. Because he saw kinship with England. Because members of the British royal family were full-blown nazis. Hitler was just copying England, bar 4 bar.

Tucker: “I never understood why 🇬🇧 fought World War 2?” 😕 Rees-Mogg: “It was good vs. evil…We did the right thing…” Tucker: “Has 🇬🇧 benefitted?” RM: “We defeated Hitler… We’d all be speaking German…” Tucker: “Who cares?” 🤔

As a long, long, long, long, long time Converse buyer, I will never buy a Converse product ever again. I am sick of the virtue signalling to racists. I see this and I see a man hanged, a white robe that could be a klansman's robe and light shaped like a KKK hat. What the actual hell!?!

We’ve paid rent for over 270 households so far in February and we currently have a waitlist that totals over $30,000. We distributed rents one by one. We can’t even think about March rent yet. You can help us here: gofund.me/5d4d1a571

The "to the best of my ability" bit is doing a lot of work

The fact that so many people have the last name “Pope” suggests it was once a much more common profession. But with automation, it can now all be done by one guy.

If you accept that non-citizens have no right to due process, you are accepting that citizens have no right to due process. All the government has to do is claim that you are not a citizen; without due process you have no chance to prove the contrary.

We don’t if they were gang members, only that Trump’s DOJ says they were. But they’ve had no trials. They are “accused.” They are “alleged” to be members of a gang that Trump has named. And now they are vanished. This is an actual nightmare and we should be up in arms.

250 Venezuelans have been disappeared into one of the worst prisons in Central America based on Trump’s invocation of a law only used 3 times in our history - the last time resulted in the Japanese-American internment. These men have had no due process. It’s monstrous. nypost.com/2025/03/16/u...

“What fascists tried to make the government smaller?” is apparently a pro-Trump talking point. If you rephrase that slightly as “what fascists try to destroy a strong independent civil service and replace it with cronies,” the answer is…all of them

I can't help but wonder if some genius thinks that "probationary" workers are folks who necessarily were identified as poor performers (hence being on "probation") vs some sort of "new employee" status

Air traffic controllers are required by law to retire at 56. It is a high-stress, high-intensity job that requires intense focus. The retirement rules are there to keep us all safe. This fucking guy has no clue what's he's doing.

Today is bittersweet. I have wonderful partners in my life. I'm in relatively good health this New Year's Eve. But today is also 10 years since I woke up to the news my mother had finally passed

We'd been able to spend the last days together with her, my dad, and my brother and knew it was any day now. But nothing really fully prepares you for them to really be gone

To my best knowledge no reward has been offered by any law enforcement agency in the case of Yeremi Colino who was killed in Manhattan on the same day, allegedly for not speaking English. 3 Suspects remain at large.

One thing many people are not aware of is that Apple has an entire building full of engineers who are working to push the boundaries of physics in seeing how far an AirPods case can fling the individual earbuds in different directions whenever you drop the case.

For those going home to visit family this weekend: • Samsung calls it Auto Motion Plus • LG calls it TruMotion • Sony calls it Motionflow • Roku calls it Action Smoothing • Google TV calls it Motion Enhancement • Vizio calls it Smooth Motion Effect.
