Honestly, the folks that suddenly are deleting their @X account make me very sad. There was a time when Twitter was a place where people shared whatever they wanted and we could connect with a wide variety of content (humor, tech, entertainment, faith, and even politics) 1/7

We don’t care about Nazi vibes. We don’t care about shitty behavior toward women. We just care about beating the enemy. Our candidate is an authentic fresh face and speaks for those left behind. Identical to MAGA.

if you're concerned about information security, you should know Signal isn't actually secure. instead, try Mastodon, which is a website where you can be guaranteed no one will ever see what you post

Glorifying violence or harm violates Bluesky’s Community Guidelines. We review reports and take action on content that celebrates harm against anyone. Violence has no place in healthy public discourse, and we’re committed to fostering healthy, open conversations

...and as a reminder, he did that by providing funding to individual states with basic rules, not trying to have the federal do all the building their "true way"

"It's my way or the highway" doesn't work in a democracy. Unless you're Dwight Eisenhower, and you get both your way and the highway.

Sane people want nonpartisan behavior.

Respectfully (and I genuinely mean this), I’ve never heard a single regular person ask for “bipartisanship.” That’s inside nonsense. They want things to work. If the other party refuses to work for people, be the ones who will. Fight for people. Make it plain who isn’t, and who THEY’RE for.

I would have to go with: "It is hardly an exaggeration to state that one of the greatest dates in history of mankind was April 28, 1686, when Newton presented his Principia to the Royal Society of London." From Ilya Progogine's "Order Out of Chaos: Man's New Dialogue with Nature."

The best first line in Science & Mathematics history: —I propose to consider the question, "Can machines think?"

Exactly. Before you try to figure out who should pay for it, maybe first define if IT is what you want to perpetuate.

What's infuriating about healthcare in the US, other than everything, is that we've actually never had a "healthcare debate." We had a prolonged health INSURANCE debate - i.e. paying for care - but never a conversation about what care ought to be.

FACT CHECK: an automod system is terrible, being that it is constructed to automate the moderation processes of actual humans, which are objectively terrible as well. When you automate a terrible process, get the terrible outcome faster with less effort. Censorship is evil, not a necessary evil.
