Hour 3. I'm pretty sure I mistakenly ate/sold two Jammin Jellies in chapter 5. Massive mistake. I've been playing the Li'l Oink slot machine for hours trying to farm 4 of them.

I've been using the beta of this for several months now. It's been pretty useful in reminding me of existing things ive wishlisted but also very effective at showing me things it thinks I might like. I just wish it allowed exporting as a ical.

Steam's Personal Calendar - officially launched steamcommunity.com/games/593110...

for context: it's harder to get these timings right when emulating so I was fully expecting a reset. And I hadnt saved in a loooooooooooooong time.

A new division dedicated to...vibe coding ports. It's like a non-stop daily race to the bottom. Literally can't go a few hours without seeing a bad idea be born.

$300 Apple TV....that now includes unnecessary "AI". Well surely they at least included audio passthrough, 120Hz support, or literally anything to justify that price right? ..... ..... ..... .....

I shit you not, every single day I read about retro video games and discover the names of 5 more video games I've never heard of that the mere description threatens to rip my fucking face off. I'm set for life. If the AAA industry wants to burn to the ground, I couldn't possibly give less of a shit.

Very appropriate for this company. The people saying "Tim Sweeney can't read the room" need to understand that he has a deep desire to play the super villain and always has.

NEW: Epic Games has delayed its upcoming (not yet announced) Star Wars + Marvel shooter as it pivots to complete AI game development. "No more hand-written code," a director told staff. All art "generated with full AI workflows." Full scoop: www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

He has this thing where he shoehorns in any move with "....and to support other developers..." like he's this saint out there doing painstaking work for the industry. You saw the same thing with the store lawsuits. It's all about the money. He knows what he's doing.

Saw "ICE" at the gas station this morning. Looked like a bunch of dorks cosplaying soldier. Genuinely looked like high school drop outs standing around doing that thing where they tuck their hands into the armpits of their vests like they are "the law" while people were trying to buy ding dongs.

I am still early but my initial take on Star Wars Galactic Racer after the first 2-3 hours: It might be one of the most overrated games I've seen in int he last few years. It's very flashy which I think is grabbing a lot of people. But the racing itself so far feels mediocre.

They did a poor job hiding the AI rubberbanding. You can see the game really slow down in an effort to get you into or near 1st place. Also wayyyyyy too many part/upgrade systems. Very unnecessary. So far I'd still take 1999 Racer over this. The focus was on speed and track design.

Since mid-Spring RA has come to a near standstill for me. Work has reached an unacceptable level of life-balance and I have found very little time to tinker with cheevos (or anything) so this was just chipped away when I could. Majora's Mask is a great game tho a tad overrated within the community

macOS 27 might be one of the buggiest Apple software releases I've seen in a long time. We're talking W11-level stuff here. But hey the mandatory 20-something GB download for worthless local AI garbage is here.

I still think is is bewildering that siri was more reliable 15 years ago but now it's hardly functional and somehow requires a LLM to do what it used to do but mostly worse and less accurate.

Harbour Masters (Ship of Harkinian) evidentally imploded in the lastfew hours due to member sof the team caught using AI (vulkan renderer and runtime). When this started being discovered there was an attempt to modify the github commits. They are now playing the "we are being bullied" card.

Such a break in trust this is. That team was being put on a pedestal for the last few years as an example of what you can accomplish without resorting to slop. Especially in 2026 when broken AI recomps get farted out every few hours.

And looking at the first impressions of their latest project (Paper Mario) it's clear you can see a drop in quality. But regardless of if it is perfect or buggy: It's not genuine. And if they are so confident that AI is fine why scramble to try and hide it in their repository?

Frankly I just don't care about these remakes (OoT Re). Ten years ago I'd probably be ecstatic. But I am just so tired of the endless mining and rehashing of the past when the literal past thing not only still exists and is accessible but 100% holds up as a game and story to this day.

The exact thing can be said of Star Fox 2026. That thing doesnt need to exist. Nor does this Zelda "remake" need to exist. It's not outright offensive but everything about it reeks of easy revenue and a bullet point need to SYNERGIZE with whatever dumb movie project is in the pipeline.

On a related note: Still waiting to see a reason to justify this Switch 2. I couldn't even tell you where mine is atm. If it wasn't for the DRAM crisis I think NS2 would be seen more publicly as lacking. Instead it's being seen as an economical way to play VG rather than first party software barren

My very first impression was that they had accidentally just played footage of one of those terrible UE4 SDK asset slop videos. Naturally seeing it in motion is more than that. But still there is something offputting about the style and motion.

Wow, they finally hired that man
