The reason establishment bootlickers are so rabidly anti-trans is that they read someone seeking that sort of self-determination as a fundamental challenge of innate to them hierarchies of power. In sacrificing trans people they signal that they are protecting the world as it has been and should be.

That is the only way the lives of such a miniscule part of the population can become a lightning rod around which such a culture war is raging. Conservative minds are saying 'if this, then what?' and signalling their consensus that the world must not fundamentally change, but only be managed.

Because everyone is carrying a high definition video camera with them, in the last 5 years I've seen videos of wild animals that I never imagined I would. Raccoons purr like kittens when they happy. There's a new cat called the pallas cat. Punch the monkey made friends in the end.
