Proud to present my lifesize T. rex head, affectionately named Hannibal. I created this myself from start to finish- digital sculpture, resin 3D printing, painting, etc. Huge thanks to my friend @rj-palmer.com for instrumental crits and redlines during the sculpting process.
Three years ago, my dad said that all fish are the same shape.
Out of spite, I decided to draw all 478 families of bony fish listed in Nelson 2016. There's still some stuff I need to edit and some fish I want to redraw but, after 985 days, I finished my big dumb fish project last night.
I am extremely proud to present my new art book! Available right now online and I will have them available in person at Lightbox Expo this weekend, table 637.
More than double the size of my last art books its packed to the brim with extremely cool stuff.

After the digital sculpt was complete, I cut it into parts to fit my printers. Done in zbrush. The head was split into 12 main parts, which were bolted together. Gaps between parts filled. The cuts were made to follow the outline of the scales to reduce visibility of the seams.

Apologies in advance, but I can't afford to feel bad about it.
It is time for the big push for my book KAIBYO THE SUPERNATURAL CATS OF JAPAN.
Preorders this month will make or break not only the success of the book, but my future books with the publisher.

A full resolution look at some the texture work I did for my "Crooked Rex" character earlier this year. This was a big personal leap in both overall fidelity and physical material complexity for me.

If you care about keeping the Academy of Natural Sciences open to the public in Philadelphia, I need you to read and share this thread.
Trish Wellenbach was sent from the mayor's office to oversee the Academy of Natural sciences situation. She needs to hear from us. Here comes the action item:
Idk if this is too niche a question but is anyone aware of an airbrush primer thatβs sandable? My go-to has been badger stynylrez for a long time but itβs increasingly hard to get in Canada. Man itβs good stuff though
Attention Philadelphia!
We're hosting a rally to demand that Drexel University maintain The Academy of Natural Sciences Museum open to the public.
Join us on Tuesday morning at 10am in front of the academy. Please spread the word, we need all hands on deck!

It really takes a lot of forethought and prep to get a 3D printed sculpture this big to be structurally sound and durable. But investing the time in advance saves a LOT of headache down the track. Especially if duplicates end up being needed
βοΈπ₯CAPTURE QUEST: CHARIZARDπ₯βοΈ
I have wanted to paint this for over a decade and spent the last year of my life fighting to bring it to the finish line.
Please take a look, there is a lot to see
Trying to kill the part of myself that feels embarrassed for asking, but I'm between freelance payments right now and really hurting for money if anyone has interest in buying some sweet threads www.fibonaccideathspiral.com
or prints
