Beyond cool to see @vercel.com com as our latest partner! TanStack-everything has always worked well on Vercel, so making it official leaves no doubt that it's going to get even better. 🤝🎉

I'm setting up backup for the For You database and I'm trying to do a restore from the backup on the hard-drive to the nvme. This eats up all disk IO and makes the feed super slow. I should get it back up in 20 minutes.
Finally switched my wm to Niri (in part due to looking at which parts of the ecosystem were so far staying away from DHH's crusade to reshape the community).
Niri is REALLY good, especially for what is AFAICT a passion project! Deserves attention and grassroots sponsorship.

Congrats to Bas Schouten on landing the Container Timing API in upstream Firefox, heading for Firefox 156 🎉
It lets you know when a specific area of a web page has rendered. It will often be more meaningful than LCP.
bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi...
Container Timing is a new browser performance API for measuring when an area of a web app has been displayed.
It is available in an Origin Trial in Chrome 148 🎉

Oh, nice! We're working on lexicons around packages and releases for a new version of ecosystem ci. Would you be up for a call next week to share notes? We're thinking of having a neutral domain for these shared by npmx, e18e, sifa, and other projects.
the harness i made for @niri.pet in my opinion did get a tiny bit bloated and probably doesn’t need to be 12k lines of code. meanwhile openclaw is at 2.8 MILLION LINES OF TYPESCRIPT
📢 Happy to announce that @tanstack.com Query now has a lit adapter
🔥 Lit is getting some TanStack love, now having adapters for Form, Query, Table and Virtual
🙏 The adapter is v0.1 - your feedback will help us getting the APIs to stable
🙌 Shoutout to Gaurav Chugh for contributing it
We've been monkey-patching JS libraries for observability for too long now. It's fragile, ESM-breaking, and runtime-locked.
So we started adding TracingChannel support upstream in 44 libraries 👀

The docs should be clearer that it's non-standard then. And maybe even note that it was shipped despite objections from Mozilla, Apple, Microsoft, and misrepresented developer interest to get LGTMs.
It's so sad. I know it wasn't perfect when I was there either, but at least I can say everything I shipped had 2+ other vendors supporting, and I'd publicly complain about Google stuff I disagreed. From what I hear, they're not allowed to do that now.
Pracht 0.7 — typed routes, typed links 🛣️

• <Link route="product" params={{ id }}> with typed params + search
• useNavigate({ route, params })
• href() helper for non-component code
Compile-time errors for missing or extra params. --check flag for CI.

The hidden gem is that @nodejs.org majors and LTS cycles got WAY easier to understand:
2026 -> v26
2027 -> v27
2028 -> v28
...
Aall of them go LTS for 18 months meaning each major is supported for 2 years.
