Branches Review can now be opened with filters, sorting, and search already applied. Only stale branches? Only the ones that won’t merge cleanly? One command each. 7/10

Created a branch for your agent? Tell Tower where it came from with "gittower branch parent". Tower then shows the branch’s Fork Point: the commits your agent added sit right above it. No more guessing what’s new! 8/10

Who wrote this line? "gittower blame <file>" opens Blame right away. You can even travel back in time with Git’s own <revision>:<file> notation. Same file, two points in its life, one command apart! 5/10

Your AI agent just finished its work? Type "gittower status" and review its changes in a proper diff view before anything gets committed 😎 6/10

The classic, now smarter: type "gittower ." from anywhere in your project (even a subfolder) and Tower opens that repository. Want it in a new window or tab? Add "-n" or "--new-tab". 3/10

Jump straight to the History of a branch, a tag, or a single file. Spotted an interesting commit in git log? Paste its hash into "gittower commit <hash>" and Tower opens History with that commit already selected. 4/10

First things first: after updating, head to Settings β†’ Integration and click β€œUpdate” next to the Tower Command Line Tool. This is the last time you’ll need to do it! The tool is now a link to Tower itself, so it updates automatically with every release 😎 2/10

Did you know? πŸ€” When a parent branch gets an update, Tower shows a "restack" icon next to each child branch and a banner in its history view. One click, and you're all caught up! ✌️ #gittowertips

πŸ“£ Windows users, the Tower 14.1 Beta is here! Select multiple commits in "History" to see their combined diff as a single changeset β€” no more stepping through each one. Plus, you can now connect your Forgejo and Codeberg accounts πŸŽ‰ Try it out πŸ‘‰ www.git-tower.com/beta

Did you know? πŸ€” Git doesn't track which branch you created another branch from β€” but Tower does. New branches automatically remember their parent. Need to adjust it? Set or unset a parent branch from the branch's context menu. #gittowertips

Did you know? πŸ€” A worktree has a distinct icon, so it's easy to spot. It also has its own area in the sidebar. Right-click any worktree to remove it, move it to a new location, or open it in the terminal or Finder. #gittowertips

Did you know? πŸ€” Asked to jump on a hotfix mid-task? With worktrees, you don't need to stash or make a throwaway commit. Check out the other branch in a separate worktree, fix it, and return to your work exactly as you left it. #gittowertips

Tower now runs 4 independent checks: Git's own merge detection, merge commit analysis, deleted remote tracking branches β€” and matching your branches against merged Pull Requests from GitHub, GitLab, etc. (a Tower Pro feature).

Trust matters when deleting branches, so the hint view shows exactly which checks matched β€” and links straight to the merge commit or the merged Pull Request, so you can verify before hitting delete.

Sort by name or last update, then narrow things down with filters: - Active/Stale - Fully Merged/Mergeable/Conflicting - With/Without Pull Requests - Tracking errors

Ever deleted a branch with sweaty palms? That's squash and rebase merges for you: the commits on the base branch no longer match the ones on your branch, so Git insists it was never merged. Tower 14 puts an end to that πŸ’ͺ
