Boston classic.

Hey #Boston, where can I watch today’s PSGvFCB?

On an incredible night in 1965, Kilmarnock came back from 2-1 down to seal a draw at Rugby Park against Real Madrid in the European Cup. Killie would eventually lose 5-1 at the Bernabeu. Pictured below is Tommy McLean putting Kilmarnock ahead from the spot.

Svangaskarð Stadium, Faroe Islands. With a capacity of 6,000, the stadium can host the entire population of the local village, Toftir, six times over.

I absolutely LOVE this. Christian Bale spent roughly 17 years fighting to make this happen. This week, his foster-care village opened in Palmdale, California: 12 homes built specifically to help keep siblings together when they enter foster care.

I don’t do a lot of TikTok but quite honestly, hats off. A masterpiece

"I do not know how you film that video, watch it back, decide 'This is how I want to present myself to a globally connected population,' and post it."

Bluesky should go back to invites, continue aggressive bot bans, create a Craigslist-style marketplace (since you’re more likely to buy/get services from a educated or good person on here than any other social network), and market this place like a walled garden protected from enshittification.

Jeff Bezos and Facebook's Eduardo Saverin are planning to buy a large stake in Liverpool FC. This is terrible and should be blocked. Football clubs should be owned by the countries they are in so the money from their supporters goes back to THEIR communities.

We did see that coming.

Zentralstadion, Leipzig. The former home of the club now known as Lokomotive Leipzig, formerly SC Rotation Leipzig. The stadium was also the main venue for East German national team matches. At it's peak, Zentralstadion's capacity was 120,000. It was closed in 2000.

Benjamin Netanyahu is a war criminal.

Hi mate!

“Drawing is a way to observe, discover, and invent things never before seen or imagined. Messy, exploratory marks lead to surprises and new ideas. Perfection is beside the point.”

My random Sam Neil story. An actor friend of mine was cast in a small role on Peaky Blinders. Never receives his script pages. Discovers his role has been pushed to non speaking background, which is less fun/less money. Sam Neil spots him looking dejected on set and finds out.

I just tripped in the street and FIFA awarded a penalty to Argentina

"In the 1930s, National Geographic sent the painter Norman Wilkinson—who invented dazzle camouflage—on a road trip around England to sketch its greatest cathedrals."

good news to all England fans: the museum will be closed today in solidarity with Harry Kane and his vocal chords

That’s why we love football! #belsen #worldcup

Netting can harm #hedgehogs! 🥅⚽️🦔 The spines can get stuck & even if they escape, serious problems can develop where skin is damaged (which may not even be visible at first). So when you've finished showing off your #WorldCup skills, tie up goals & make sure netting is at least 30cm off the ground.

Suraj has a point.

UFO seen over Moscow this morning. 🤣🇺🇦

so far this World Cup, The Museum of English Rural Life remains undefeated

We live in the stupidest timeline.

#Supergirl is a direct follow-up to a very well liked movie, features Krypto (who everyone loves), has Jason Momoa as Lobo (which fans said they always wanted) & stars an actress everyone agrees was a standout in HotD. The only reason there’s a hate campaign against it is because “Girl.”

31 May 1941 | An Italian Jewish boy Mario Sonnino was born in Rome (on the left). On 23 October 1943, he was murdered in a gas chamber at #Auschwitz II-Birkenau. He was killed together with his sister Césira and his brother Sandro.

Nobody sane is pro-Russia or anti-Ukraine; let that be the only red flag you need.

The victory of the opposition in Hungary yesterday, like the Polish election in 2023, is a victory for democracy, not just in Europe but around the world.

Sharks in Romania 🦈

Tonight in Budapest’s Heroes’ Square, a sea of young Hungarians—who’ve only ever known Orbán’s corrupt, suffocating regime—are packed together, singing, chanting, and daring to dream of freedom again. Their hope is raw, their courage is real. The heart of Europe is beating in Budapest tonight. 🇭🇺❤️🇪🇺

Someone with the handle @velocity69.bsky.social is sharing a video with the caption: "The highest quality video of the moon was just released… so beautiful * Artemis II" It's gone viral, but it's not from Artemis II. If you've shared it, you might want to un-share.
