Taha Habroune has scored in every game he's played since Doyle put him as #23 on his 22 under 22 list. #Crew96

Here's my vote for this year's 22 Under 22 list. It's a hard one given there's more young talent in MLS than ever before, and that's even with a handful of elite prospects getting sold this summer. tacticsfreezone.ghost.io/my-2026-22-u...

MLS HQ either spent $10m to get BCG or McKinsey to tell them this before making the schedule change or they had no idea about any of this. I'm almost certain it is the latter. Regardless, they should direct that kind of spending to ASA.

Been a lot of chatter about how the upcoming MLS schedule change is going to affect play on the field. @kierdoyle.bsky.social decided to look exactly how. www.americansocceranalysis.com/home/2026/10...

Five months later, Vancouver and SKC are in the running as the best and worst teams by xPoints since 2013. Nashville are likely going to win the Supporter's Shield like most teams over the last few years - by over-performing their underlying metrics. Montreal has had rotten luck.

Eliot McKinley@eliotmckinley.com

With most teams having played 8 games, the underlying stats are beginning to become useful while still noisy. Vancouver may be the best MLS team ever and SKC the worst. Both are performing as expected. There's a huge pack of average teams down on their luck.

We took in a mother cat and her four kittens. We have homes for the mom and two of the kittens but need a forever home for the other two, preferably together. If you are or someone you know are in Nashville or vicinity and want a couple of sweet, cute, litter trained kittens please DM me.

The positioning of the players on both teams is wild. Also, 2-1 after 12 min, this game is a banger.

#NWSL NEWS: Boston Legacy FC will play the 2027 season at Centreville Bank Stadium in Rhode Island, which has been its part-time home this year. Boston Legacy won't move into White Stadium in Boston until 2028, two years behind the original plan.

Which Matt defends the net for a US-Belgium penalty shootout? The US has rotated both, but my model backs Matt Turner. Data gives him a 77% probability of being the superior career penalty stopper (other pk statistics below) #USABEL #BELUSA #FIFAWorldCup #WC2026 #WorldCup

Okay here's the entire Algeria possession 5 minutes and 34 seconds of completely uncontested midfield possession 109 completed passes And then they scored a goal

I've had this one since '94.

Alejandro Zendejas did his turn with the media wearing a very sharp 1994 World Cup throwback hat. He admitted adidas gave it to him, and it’s a modern recreation, not an original. But it still looks good.

Really cool and thorough penalty analysis to show that Tim Melia is the GOAT penalty keeper.

Max@oostermax.bsky.social

nice article! i analyzed many penalty kicks last month and in addition to scoring yes/no i also had information on which side the ball and keeper went and Messi is very bad at sending the goalkeeper the wrong way (to my great surprise) maxoosterwegel.com/blog/penalty...

I’ve argued for a minute that MLS clubs should go multi-sport at the youth level. 1) to build greater community integration, but 2) bc if the org running your AAU team also runs a pro soccer academy, they might have more incentives to push kids to the sport they can succeed at.

I really do believe that 90% of the US problem with developing men's soccer athletes is that our best soccer players top out as undersized point guards and wide receivers in mid level college programs

Of course they show it immediately after I posted this.

Maybe I am misremebering, but didn't the 2022 World Cup broadcasts have a snickometer type thing shown where there were ambiguous ball touches? At least Telemundo didn't show that on Sweden's 4th goal.

We were able to schedule a friendly with this team yesterday. The ref had to call the game early because parents were complaining too much about his calls, which is about the most American thing possible.

My son’s final game of a soccer tournament this morning was cancelled this morning because of increasing ICE activity in Nashville. I cannot wait for all the people that caused this to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
