I've only done a bit of Gleam, but interesting to read cases like this. Will probably reach for it on my next personal project that calls for it.
“We do have systems that are written in mainstream programming languages like Python and JavaScript, but our strategy is to pick the best tool for the job, not just the most popular. Gleam was a good fit for our requirements.” Read the whole case study here: gleam.run/case-studies... ⭐

A lot of my infra workflows live in Slack threads, docs, or buried in shell history. That sucked. I've been building Atuin Desktop. Local-first, CRDT-powered, executable runbooks - with integrated terminals, sql queries + monitoring blog.atuin.sh/atuin-deskto... Lmk if you have any questions <3

New #neovim plugin, javelin.nvim. Just felt like making my own version of harpoon, mainly since I wanted the jump list to be the same no matter where I am in a git repo. Hosting on both @tangled.sh and sourcehut for now. tangled.sh/@ejri.dev/ja... git.sr.ht/~ejri/javeli...

Just found out you can get an RSS feed of GitHub commits on specific files on openrss.org, which means you can track #NixOS package changes. For example, jj on nixos-unstable linked on this post. #newsboat #miniflux
I'm liking that sr.ht isn't trying to be a GitHub clone like every other alternate forge. Will try it out for a little while, but at this point I'll probably be switching to it. GitHub's almost monopoly could use some good competition. #sourcehut

2024 Recap: Created two small #neovim plugins, reworked my dotfile management, tried out several different shells and landed on elv.sh, did some contributions and sponsorships to open source projects I enjoy, and explored several new programming languages. Overall feel pretty happy with my progress.

Super behind on #AdventOfCode now. Got sidetracked writing some integrations for @elv.sh shell. It's been very enjoyable.
