Anthropic banning “abusive or cruel behavior” toward Claude in its new usage policies is proof to me that tech companies are going to moderate violence against AI before they ever moderate violence against women and minorities

The total lack of decency in this corporate bullshit world is astounding. Fired by e-mail. On top of that: you can’t access that e-mail. And all of this because of gazillions of investments in AI infrastructure for clients that don’t make any money and won’t. www.sfchronicle.com/tech/article...

Hopefully Ellison will go bankrupt, but he is wealthy enough that he won’t. But would be nice to see him lose a substantial nr of billions and influence. My guess: the software part of Oracle will be sold as it can continue to generate a flow of income and continuity is important to customers

Not that I am a Nostradamus in any way. I’m just very curious how this all will play out and it’s good to lay out your expectations and assumptions beforehand and not after the facts in a chickenshit style.

And what I always fail to understand with these massive lay-offs: if you had 141.000 employees and 21.000 of them could be missed anyway (apparantly), why did you have them in the first place? What were these people doing everyday? Were they all completely useless? Seems rather odd, doesn’t it?

The people freaking out about Mamdani are the people who support Netanyahu, and by extension, support Trump. Their opposition to Trump is a front. They want to keep public focus singularly on Trump, the individual, instead of on the broader mafia networks that include Netanyahu.

The Dems are like the GOP in 2016. Abandoning winning over the public and no longer keeping up the pretense of trying. They're solely focused on retaining the most immoral donors. There are exceptions -- and the Dem leadership gets angry at them for *winning*, which tells you all you need to know.

That Cuomo could keep repeating racist, Islamophobic tropes, and that Mamdani had to answer idiotic questions about "intifadas," reveals how deeply ossified the Democratic party--and media--is and how corrupted by billionaires, consultants, and entrenched communities.

Many media outlets hid the full truth of Trump -- his background in organized crime, his Epstein ties -- out of fear, only to be obliterated by him in the end. Had they not self-censored then, they might not be state-censored now. When you hide the truth, you face the consequences.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen something so simultaneously absurd and disturbing: the House will vote Monday on a bill that would punish Americans for participating in boycotts of Israel with fines of up to $1 MILLION or prison terms up to TWENTY YEARS.
