It’s not that Googletube was wrong to expect my interest, it’s that I’m starting to see an internet where moving pictures are as free as pictures.

I do not, I CAN not, begrudge my favorite creators for the site they use to platform their work. I also cannot see the point in telling people to close their Bluesky and open their patreon. Might as well tell them to go check their email. Or their Googletube. www.webtoons.com/p/community/...

Honestly? If every #comics creator on a platform like Webtoon is using that platform to link to patreon…has patreon already been too powerful for too long?

Have any other #comics fans struggled with the #webtoon app being TOO efficient? Is limiting what I keep up with to what I HAVE to throw money to…the only way to not feel I’ve overcommitted? Is this kind of depressing post better for r/?
