I made the mistake of clicking an Atlantic article and all of the headlines have pissed me off.

It’s so funny to me that the AI “risk” people are people who think they are modern philosophers fighting an embryonic God. The real risks are very material: fault-prone war machines, inadvertent creations of biological and chemical weapons, and of course, massive ecological destruction.
