So hard to pick a favorite part of this article. Pretending that sending unsolicited dick pics at 53 was a “youthful indiscretion” is good, but don’t sleep on the argument that his wife forgave him for subjecting other women to unwanted nude photos so everyone else should too

Alex Pretti's father calls out the "cruelty" from the Justice Department in refusing to cooperate with the investigation into his son's death. He also slams AG Todd Blanche for protecting the men who killed his child. "Do your job and stop shielding Alex's killers."

Everyone in the state of Georgia, my state, should know that the President’s last week message is that we must vote for his candidates for Senate and Governor so that he can call up his new toadies and get them to institute his Temu martial law on our state, the same travesty as what he did to DC

Do you want uniformed kids shipped in from another state “patrolling” random places in Georgia? That’s exactly what he says he wants a GOP governor in office to allow him to do. Non-MAGA Kemp wouldn’t have it, but Trump wants a new MAGA governor to assert MAGA-style shows of dominance upon us all

Alabama not only gerrymandered to eliminate a minority seat but they delayed their primary only for the 2 Black seats and 2 adjacent seats so that they could box out Shomari. The fact that Trump is now trying to shore up Shomari’s opponent tells you how things are going for the GOP.

I don’t know why this wasn’t more obvious & seen as existential by universities, who mostly just nodded along w/ their morally composed rich board members urging them to make deals with the devil. The whole project here was to destroy centers of knowledge, because knowledge is a threat to corruption

I don’t use the word fascism here because ultimately, fascism and corruption are two sides of the same coin, and every culprit already knows this quite intimately

It's okay to call a drag queen existing a pedophile. It's not okay to point out the president was friends with a notorious pedophile, the vice president is a flunky of one of that pedophile's close friends, their top donor, the wealthiest man in the world wanted to be friends with that pedophile,

I’m seeing people reacting by pointing out that he’s obviously wrong. I appreciate that, but it’s also a pointless exercise. The problem isn’t that he’s wrong. The problem is that this is normal in American politics — and it’s been normal for a while.

You can do the same thing, buying a house and borrowing against it—ha ha, just kidding, normal people get taxed annually on their wealth via property taxes, the "you can't tax wealth, the economy will collapse!" rule applies solely to the super-rich.

Steven T. Dennis@steventdennis.bsky.social

For the fabulously wealthy, paying taxes is pretty much optional. They can borrow against their vast wealth, which is mostly an untaxed capital gain, without paying taxes. When they die, the capital gain goes to zero. And loopholes exist to bypass the estate tax too.
