"arabs have contributed nothing to the arts and sciences" is such a funny fucking thing for a bog ape wearing a little suit to say

RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Nobel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

Documentary film is not in the realm of truth, except for when it is. Documentary filmmakers may deliberately establish untruths or untruthful scenarios, sometimes resulting in bullshit, other times resulting in something revelatory and true. Its contradictory nature is what makes the form ecstatic.

i think questioning our media environment and how much we can trust and know things on any level within this system is actually extremely crucial, in this moment especially.

The ability to handle ambiguity in life and art is a sign of maturity and I am so bothered by how many people don’t seem to trust other people to be able to process these things. It’s the same impulse that leads to yelling at headlines for not explicitly saying something is bad.

A character recently used the term “Sword of Damocles” in Fire Emblem and I equally felt shot out of a cannon trying to figure out what that means to some one in Fire Emblem world and if it implied that it was actually a post apocalyptic version of our human world

Wait a minute. What does Hail-Mary mean in Star Wars

Like theater-theater (the THEA-tah) has been poking the same ideas for the past century but seeing how hard this bounced off even the learned cinephile class makes me a little embarrassed for everyone including (especially?) Cruise and Iñarritu

Okay I get that Digger is maybe not a crowd pleaser, but I'm a little baffled by the bad reviews and historically bad box office. It's way more compelling than it is frustrating!

Crimson Desert is a game built on the idea that it's better to give someone 10,000 Twinkies because oink oink fuck you piggie rather than sit down to make one single made-to-measure cake. It fundamentally thinks the player is a moron.

VGC@videogameschronicle.com

Crimson Desert’s lower review scores were because critics didn’t get the same version as the one that launched, and didn't get a "fair chance to explore" the game beyond its main story, Pearl Abyss's European CEO says. www.videogameschronicle.com/news/crimson...

i don't know the best time to opine about the possibility of rehabilitation and restorative justice and so on but the worst time is 5 minutes after one of your favs is outed doing something terrible

Seriously: Hate Digger all you want, but [pauses for flow of hate] movies like Digger are why we need studios. A world in which Digger doesn't get made one in which Sinners and One Battle also don't get made. You miss with Heaven's Gate and you still swung. You miss with Paw Patrol and you >

sometimes you see a post roasting someone hateful for being ugly and it’s like we cannot come for the fascists for being slightly overweight and balding there wouldn’t be anyone left on bluesky by the end of the week

I genuinely think that if you want to listen to AI generated music instead of something a person made you have an incurable sickness of the heart.

look we're all making a big bet on AI! and if it pays off as big as we hope, well, it's going to make a handful of people super rich and you're going to lose your job but get to watch mickey mouse fuck geralt from the witcher. if it doesn't pay off well then you get to pay for the bailouts

I hate the phrase “don’t yuck someone’s yum” but that’s no longer enough. You have to affirm everyone else’s tastes and fuck that. Grow a thicker skin.

You can’t even comprehend how important Eien ni Hen’s work is to the fan translation community. Romancing SaGa, Fire Emblem, Sakura Wars, Tear Ring Saga, Glory of Heracles, Dragon Force II, Dark Half, Beyond Oasis, Psi-O-Blade, Arabian Nights, and so much more. What a loss. Rest in peace.

In memory of the translator, Eien ni Hen. May she rest in peace.

Not really sure where a bunch of liberals got the idea that they can’t win without throwing trans people in the garbage, but they’re stupid and cruel and wrong. If you want a human sacrifice so damned bad put gavin newsom in the wicker man

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani reveals that ‘Digimon’ is his favorite anime.

I just cleverly used a Bodkin Archer to kill another enemy in Torneko's Mystery Dungeon and then the Bodkin Archer leveled up. 10/10 masterpiece.
