"Good guys with guns will stop bad guys with guns." Except 6 uniformed police officers, an unknown number of plainclothes officers, campus security, & Charlie Kirk's private security didn't stop anything. Either they aren't good guys, or the shooter isn't a bad guy, or guns don't stop gun violence.

Every once in a while I think about the other buckets of bad aside, people heard an adult man say, “I moved on her like a bitch” and thought, “That’s my President.”

The JCPOA was one of the greatest diplomatic achievements of the 21st century. Multiple nations, several powerful blocks, a ton of oversight and the entire time diplomats were working it out domestic American media & politicians were demonizing it, lying about it, and trying to sabotage it. They won

Reminder that none of this would've been possible if not for the neocons manipulating Trump's hatred of Obama to kill the JCPOA. From there, safeguards became unconstrained enrichment and all the scary things they're trotting out became possible. Be careful buying what these guys are still selling.

For anyone who makes content of any type, if you don't have one, think about starting a newsletter. You can be web-first, but newsletters are (even in 2025) such a good way to reach your audience. And if you have a small audience, it generally means they'll be an engaged audience!

Americans will go on vacation to a place that isn’t a car sewer, walk and take public transit for 8-12 hrs. a day, notice a change in their health, and attribute it to “they must not have the Illuminati chemicals here”

Ainsley Earhardt makes a case for RFK Jr: "When you go to Europe, the food is delicious. It's so fresh. And you don't gain weight if you eat a big bowl of pasta. So we want that to come here to America."

Jan 20, 1961. A blizzard the day before. Temperatures well below freezing. Without a coat or hat, JFK gave a speech we still quote today. Robert Frost, 86, recited a poem. Steinbeck and Hemingway and Rothko were among the VIPs. A million people gathered in the cold to hear it. This is the precedent.

The US government banning TikTok for being Chinese owned only for the new top app in the App Store being a Chinese app whose name is literally “Little RED book” is hilarious. It’s like banning beer so people everyone starts smoking crack.

It’s quite incredible that people voted out of anger that prices are too high and corporations are screwing them when the next guys big ideas are to raise prices even higher via tariffs and cripple the agencies that regulate corporations.

You are up to date.
