It blows up my blood pressure that the GOP is constantly trying to take away voting rights, and the major newspapers never frame it as ham-fisted violations of our Constitutional rights
We listened to the hearing yesterday in DOJ's attempt to purge CA votes mid-election. It went very badly for the government, because of an issue of procedural geekery. @andrewtorrez.bsky.social, that's your walk up music! www.lawandchaospod.com/p/ninth-circ...

Think of all the government officials who read this, and worse, in the Epstein files and THEN decided to defend and run interference for Trump
i am inviting anyone from a legacy media organization to explain to me why the house judiciary dems report on trump’s epstein’s ties and multiple allegations of rape isn’t worthy of extensively reporting on. i’m serious. i want to understand.

It's really damning. The accusations are numerous and well-supported. But I was really struck by the descriptions of Trump's behavior -- the name dropping, strong-arming, and attempts to buy off silence. His gross rivalry with Epstein. It's all so familiar. It's shit he's been doing his entire life.
Beyond disgusted by even more rape allegations against the President of the United States. "In total, more than 25 different women...have independently accused Donald Trump of rape, sexual assault, or other sexual misconduct." Report w/ new details: democrats-judiciary.house.gov/sites/evo-su...

the thing is, they literally do. The claim is that the Arab world *once did* great things and *no longer does,* and that second part is not true. Conveniently, they keep records of who gets those prizes, so you can see that it is not true.
RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Nobel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

The best Reddit comment I've seen on Marissa Mayer needing AI to find 3 adjectives to describe her 10-year-old: "Someday in the years to come, Marissa Mayer’s daughter will go no contact with her mother. And Marissa Mayer will ponder this and ask AI why."
Marissa Mayer: "I'm a terrible, lazy parent who doesn't want to spend a moment's though on my child (self-congratulatory)"

[If I may be permitted to belabor the obvious Obama's joke lands best if you know what a Cheesecake Factory looks like! It's not a swipe at people who enjoy eating there. I enjoy visiting Vegas, it doesn't mean I think it would be good if the White House looked like the floor of the Cosmopolitan]

We knew that in September 2025, ICE announced new incentives for the 287(g) police partnership program, including a $100K vehicle stipend, quarterly performance bonuses + overtime pay for officers. Ingram opted in. That meant its cops would serve as deputy immigration agents.

I’m sure this has much more to do with the crimes they plan on committing in the next two years than crimes of the past. People will hesitate to follow Trump’s illegal orders if they get the sense they may actually be held accountable.

It’s a subject that makes a lot of people uncomfortable and calling them corrupt and evil is easier. But the truth is that Republicans have a rape problem—one that they celebrate.
Extraordinary. I can't believe your story may be the first time the Republican's acceptance of the rape and abuse of woman and children has been spoken of in such clear terms... considering how goddamn long it's been going on.

Exclusive Senior Advisor to First Lady Melania Trump Marc Beckman: "As a result of her participation, I guess she caught the attention of the pope, which is great. And a few days she stepped in and supported her efforts, which is very nice. But ultimately it was the First Lady ... "

"constant rage" hit so hard None of these people live in a moment of peace or contentment, and they are determined that neither will we
"Right now, we’re living in Trump’s world, in Vance’s world, in Hegseth’s world. This is what a world without empathy looks like. It’s a world of constant othering, of constant rage, of a constant belief that life is a zero-sum game. But nothing flourishes in that world." — @snipy.bsky.social

Trump's new PAC - Rapists United (as long as you speak badly against Dems)
Q: Now that you know the backstory about Amy Acton and her stepfather and why she hasn't talked to her mom in so long -- her stepfather was indicted for rape -- do you change your mind about the ad? TRUMP: No. No. It's a mother speaking badly against Amy Acton. You don't know anything.

oh, just the POTUS mainlining Muslim racism
Trump on El-Sayed: "We can't him in the United States-- we can't have him in the United States Senate. I look so forward to Michigan. I think it's gonna be wild. Because he's a total phony. He's a little phony. He's a jihadist. He's a vicious, violent jihadist."
and of course the brilliant part of what this college kid said is...that it's reality-based and then the terminally online MAGA is going to spin this kid as a woke Dem plant
this answer about what issues matter to him from a college student waiting in line at the Trump rally wasn't what the Fox correspondent expected to hear. She moved on with swiftness
