*540,347 Minnesotans have already voted, breaking records for early voting engagement in a midterm election.
*That’s up from 358,648 at the same point in 2022.
*Voters in Dem strongholds are turning out at record-high numbers.
If you're not in Rep. Omar's state, here is a highly reliable site that works for all states. It's run by the League of Women Voters, and has been around forever. Very trustworthy.

A 2025 Nobel Prize winner in chemistry, Omar Yaghi is the son of Palestinian refugees who grew up in Jordan.
He just left the US to move to China after raising concerns about rising anti-immigrant sentiment, like the kind shown here. donmoynihan.substack.com/p/china-than...
RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Nobel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."
This is legit wild. One of the Trumpiest GOP kooks we’ve had holding high office here in Texas makes an absolute spot-on, beautiful, non-partisan call for government transparency against the governor’s attempt to hide his emails with Elon Musk.
This report has a lot more information than that one less-than-credible accusations against Trump. If people read (I know, it's an impossible ask), you'll see there are three more I would deem extremely well-evidenced and credible.
if you want to follow ANYTHING from what elected Lula here in brazil, this is the most important lesson and change of mindset that happened here
just don't give them the attention they want. let them speak amongst themselves and let us win by silencing them with our voices
The online part was important too, of course. We collectively decided to not interact with any right wing post or comment ever. Trolls and bots lost their power. This is a good lesson.
Like I'm with the employees here right, don't get me wrong, I'm glad they're objecting, but what did they think the horrible robot dog was going to be used for, replacing real dogs? Serving you drinks at a party?? Replacing break dancers at the Olympics?
okay but I do want to see a movie version of Fahrenheit 451 that includes the Hound and uses a BD robot dog to play it
yes I know BD would never permit it
"At long last, we have built the Mechanical Hound, but don't worry--it's not at all inspired by the Mechanical Hound from Ray Bradbury's classic novella 'A Society That Would Build The Mechanical Hound Would Be Deeply Fucked-Up And Use It To Hunt Dissidents!'"
Imagine if your name was actually Gregor Samsa, how terrified would you be to go to sleep every night? You would be riddled with anxiety. You'd have the worst insomnia ever.
If there is a Samsa family out there, it should be a crime against humanity for them to name their child Gregor.
Bustin’ makes you feel good? Sure, but it’s also highly addictive. If you or someone you know is experimenting with bustin’, help is available. Bust safely
when a couple I’m friends with breaks up and one of them tries to make plans with me, I forward it to the other with “would you like to make a counter?”
There’s a guy performatively reading at the library. Literally been at a table in the back corner for hours, probably waiting for some woman to notice him. Pathetic
The president of the United States, Leader of the Free World, traveled to Corinth, Mississippi, population 14,622, one week before the midterms to hold a rally in front of a bunch of empty seats and some people who look like they’d leave if some dogs were spotted humping out front.
Let that sink in
The pettiest hill that I will die on is that if your cool character in a historical novel is rolling their eyes at social conventions, no they're not, eye-rolling didn't become a widely described gesture in English literature until the *1980s*

Robert F. Kennedy Sr. spent his time in government fighting *against* racist bigots who said these exact same things, except their rants were against “Africans”

The only reason I can think of for this news not being absolutely everywhere is that large media orgs don’t want to be seen as putting their thumbs on the scales a week before election day. And that’s cowardly as shit.
Beyond disgusted by even more rape allegations against the President of the United States.
"In total, more than 25 different women...have independently accused Donald Trump of rape, sexual assault, or other sexual misconduct."
Report w/ new details: democrats-judiciary.house.gov/sites/evo-su...
Like an old-time newspaper article, with all the sub-headlines.
This is from the Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee. I can only hope is gets some coverage in, you know, newspapers.

They want to ban trans people from swimming in college athletics but they also want to ban trans women from getting changed in the locker rooms at your local community swimming pool also.
Denying us this kind of space is a route to denying us health and life.
Interesting approach by Mike Rogers to make his loyalty to Elon Musk & the oligarchy an explicit part of his campaign earlier this year.
“When you stand with my Senate campaign today, you are directly shielding Elon Musk,” Rogers wrote.

NEW: Transgender Texas Student Union has retained counsel in response to the Travis County filing related to the fake transgender mailers. It's Chris Hilton, who previously worked for Ken Paxton at the Texas Attorney General's office and left temporarily to defend Paxton in his impeachment trial.
A serial rapist was elected twice as President, a fact we don't reckon with nearly enough. Now one of two major political parties has been molded in his image, run for and by violent sexual abusers who hate women.
