Taking something arguably boring and finding an interesting way to teach it is what I love about online education. A teammate shipped a personal project doing that and it’s 🔥 The benchmarking is one of the best features, that’s been a blocker for me testing things joachimz.me/a-more-pract...

joachimz.meA More Practical Way for Developers to Learn AlgorithmsMany developers assume performance is for specialists. Stacksmith lets you learn and experience how algorithmic choices impact every language.

Just had to add 3 environment variables to Netlify and superrrr thankful for the "import from environment variable feature" Imagine not writing a single line of code for a feature and then manually copying and pasting env variables like some kind of caveman 😜

I finally updated iOS and Mac and I kinda dig it. The actual glass styles are meh but I enjoy a lot of the UI shifts in iOS safari and in apple mail on both. Not sure I want widgets on my desktop but I see my desktop so rarely anyways

I really dig the UI wrapper component!

Congrats to @webawesome.com on the big release 🎉 I'd tell you my favorite part but I wouldn't want to spoil my review (okay, fine, it's the Page component).

I've looked up to Mat forever so this is a bucket list moment. He taught me JavaScript properly [checks notes] nearly a decade ago with JavaScript for Web Designers and now, my knowledge is even deeper after editing this course. It really is an evergreen resource. It's how we roll at @piccalil.li

At last, today is the day. I am immensely proud to announce that JavaScript for Everyone is here. Tell a friend, tell a Slack channel — write it on a slip of paper, fold it once, and slide it across your boss' desk without breaking eye contact. _It's time to get weird._ piccalil.li/javascript-f...

This week, I solved a search field focus issue, figured out how to use subgrid to line up comparison data, and I learned a bit about scroll-driven animations thanks to @bram.us . And my usual links to things I read and other things about my week. jeffbridgforth.com/weeknotes-oc...

TFW you can't find any software that will let you track map locations connected to structured data in a table in one interface so you have to vibe code it yourself. Felt, Airtable, etc. were all $100+/month for the right to do this. Lol, nope. One day of GPT-5 vibe coding and problem solved.

Can you help me out, bluesky? 🦋 When exactly did `outline` start following the `border-radius` rounding? Because in the beginning, that wasn't the case. When did that change? When did the change land in browsers? Thank you! Reposts appreciated. #CSS

👋🏻❤️ I just wrapped a project with a lovely client, and I’m thinking about what’s next. So! I’ve got availability for new work starting in October 2025. Spiffed up the ol’ portfolio a bit to showcase some past projects, and to talk about the work I do: ethanmarcotte.com/work/

ethanmarcotte.comLet’s work together. — ethanmarcotte.comHi, I’m Ethan. I’m a web designer who helps companies make beautiful sites and services that work everywhere.

I have Dia invites if anyone is interested, I've been enjoying it and the UI is better than Comet IMNHO. Comet was a Windows vibe to me, but I looooove Perplexity

My partner is in a fullstack bootcamp and I never would have imagined I'd be excitedly explaining why .map is so much better than a for loop, on the couch on Friday night. And yet, here I am

Ever cry while cutting an onion? Well, now you don’t have to! Building off of chef J. Kenji López-Alt, we found the mathematically optimal way to dice an onion. *Cutting uniform pieces has not been proven to reduce crying, but you do get bragging rights. pudding.cool/2025/08/onio...

Love this! Great share and the why and how

🚀 Un-Sass'ing my CSS In recent client work, we focused on leveraging "the web platform" rather than frameworks, libraries, and dependencies. In this article, I discuss transparency & colour manipulation using CSS instead of Sass. www.alwaystwisted.com/articles/UnS... #Sass #CSS #WebDev #FrontEnd

I’m using LLMs for a lot of coding-related things lately, but one thing it’s absolutely not ready for is installing Tailwind 4 in Astro I wonder if it’s the level of documentation? But, Astro’s implementation is 3 steps and I’ve even pointed Cursor at it
