You’ve probably heard about the Administration’s new lawsuit trying to block election results in Alaska – and the two Dan Sullivans running in its U.S. Senate race. Reminder: Ranked choice voting is not why the “other” Dan Sullivan is on the ballot – and it helps solve the problem.

My pal Danielle Koenig shared that her father Walter Koenig passed away last night at age 90. A performer whose kindness and warmth shone through the screen. He will be well remembered.

Gotta love getting a mailer from my State Senator supporting a PGCPS Board of Education candidate that I can’t even vote for. VOTE Juan Arango-Millan for BOE in District 3 and VOTE Caroline Decaire-Goldin for BOE in District 2!

Days after AIPAC announced it would stop endorsing candidates and direct contributions, our reporting shows it was already moving its spending out of sight. Its super PAC has sent $13.1M to other groups this cycle, 3x 2024, so the ads never carry AIPAC’s name.

Anyone who gets fooled by Ro Khanna is a fucking moron I'm sorry.

The Washington Post@washingtonpost.com

Rep. Ro Khanna (D-California) has been taking steps like these to raise his national profile ahead of a possible 2028 presidential campaign. He has been positioning himself to be one of the most appealing candidates to the party’s left wing.

I’ve now received 3 separate fundraising texts claiming to be for Amy Acton. Before this, I hadn’t received any texts for Ohio candidates. Fucking vultures man.

The workers have spoken: they want to unionize with UFCW Local 400. They want to join the same union contract as other Kroger stores in the area, with the same pay, benefits, and working conditions. Instead of honoring its agreement, Kroger is stalling. TAKE ACTION: ufcw400.org/KrogerPetition

Q: Will you disavow the Muslim Brotherhood? El-Sayed: Yes. Why are you asking the question? Do you assume that I wouldn’t? Q: Yes, because I have not heard you disavow them yet. El-Sayed: Have you disavowed them? I have not heard you disavow them yet.

Seems like an excellent opportunity for people to be productive by canvassing or making phone calls for candidates and ballot questions.

🚨🚨🚨 Meta just took down the No Kings instagram page with 3000 events happening around the country today

When only 235 people out of a total of 4,040 members of a supposedly democratic organization vote to endorse a candidate in a general body vote that’s rushed through a weekend without any prior announcement so that only 251 members vote in total, is the result valid?

There is no ethical use of the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

And yet, every single Democratic member of Congress and every progressive organization (except @indivisible.org) still uses X as their primary method of breaking news. The pro-democracy movement really needs to boycott X.

Mary Peltola released her anti-trans ad on September 21st. On that date, RCP's poll average had her leading 50.2% to incumbent Dan Sullivan's 48.1%. As of today, those numbers are 48.5% for Peltola, 47% for Sullivan. Really looks like going anti-trans gained Peltola absolutely nothing.

Fascist Dem Tracker@fascistdemtracker.bsky.social

"James Talarico has to say anti-trans things in order for him to win" is so utterly divorced from basic reality. It didn't help Colin Allred win when he did the same thing in 2024 and, based on polling, it hasn't resulted in Talarico increasing his polling numbers whatsoever.

4/ But over the next 10 weeks, I’d mimic the patterns of a problem gambler with the help of a panel of gambling experts and learn just how much DraftKings would encourage my recklessness — and just how little pushback I’d get as I spiraled downward.

Hey, ProPublica reporter Jake Pearson here. I’m taking over the account to tell you about my new story. For months, I posed as a problem gambler on DraftKings to test the company's "responsible gaming" safeguards. Spoiler alert: They made me a VIP — and I lost $10K. Here's how it all went down. 🧵

People who want to move somewhere to improve their lives (whether that be their career, escaping social conservatism, or both) is basically a force of nature. You cannot fight against it and it would be easier to just build more housing despite how difficult that can be.

I have brought this up to people like this because I came from an incredibly homophobic rural town with no job opportunities. I asked if they thought I should have just had a worse quality of life around people who hate me and one person told me “yes”.

The Republican Party is just a big tent for all kinds of sex -- they've got swingers, and they've got rapists, and oh, you'd better bet they've got pedophiles, and

And this is how Maryland Senate leadership thinks we are going to solve the budget gap in our state— on the backs of the most vulnerable to addiction.

I think this would solve a lot of problems in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

William B. Fuckley@opinionhaver.bsky.social

A minimum population size for local government in general would solve literally hundreds of problems. Lots of cities should be annexed or disincorporated.

I LOVE being a part of multiple dues-paying organizations that functionally keep their general bodies in the dark about their activities.
