So I licensed my artwork for set dressing in a TV show but I didn’t know it was this one! So we were all surprised. My husband say, “See buddy, you wanted more monsters and Mommy put them in the show for you!” I wonder if this gains me any credit with the kaiju-loving 12 year olds?

"Four green crewmembers" which refers to their status as in everyone is good. HOWEVER I've heard from other astronauts who've done water landings that it's pretty rough, even with smooth seas. You've had no gravity, then 3 g, then you are bobbing without a clear view of the horizon.

something that wrinkles my brain every time I remember it is the fact that total eclipses are only possible on earth because the moon and sun appear to be the same size in our sky, due to the insanely, astronomically unlikely fluke that the moon is 400x smaller than the sun but 400x closer to us.

Ok, this contrast between the Goldman Sachs projections for oil flows and the actual oil flows out of Hormuz are hilarious. But also it really is remarkable how disconnected the current futures markets remain from, like, the actual 1-2 month future.

Okay this isn’t really happening anymore so I can tell you how l had “internal ICE sources”: the 3000 very stir-crazy ICE agents were all going wild on Minneapolis Tinder. Local girls would match with them and string them along for intel. They loved to brag about what they were doing all day

The Artemis II mission reminds me of these 1960s photos of NASA astronauts training in Iceland because they felt the terrain would be similar to what they'd encounter on the moon. The outfits are so great, even some 60 years later.

We warned that H.R. 1's SNAP cost shift could drive states to make it as difficult as possible to access SNAP, leaving eligible low-income families without the food assistance they need. In Arizona, that prediction appears to be coming true — with a heartbreaking human cost:

ProPublica@propublica.org

NEW: Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act imposes stricter food stamp work requirements and shifts a larger share of the costs to states. Arizona’s swift implementation has made it more difficult to apply and caused nearly half of recipients to lose benefits.

“Why aren’t college students protesting” stories are almost always wrong (they are protesting), omit crucial context (they were brutally punished for protesting before), and somehow suggest that 19 yr olds have more moral responsibility than elected officials three times their age
