I look forward to the Natural History Museum’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year every year, and it’s that time again. I love Icy Window by Audun Rikardsen: www.nhm.ac.uk/wpy/gallery/... Clearleft designed the WPY website – it's one of our favourite ever projects. clearleft.com/work/wildlif...

We're pretty darn proud of this one, and of the work that the entire Clearleft team have put in to it. It's in beta so tell us what you'd change in the comments, along with a little commotion for the name pun 👌

Excellent there's a fix for column layout reflowing at the fold, but as @rachelandrew.co.uk says later "When you fragment things, you end up with problems such as headings ending up as the last thing in a column or page." Quite rigth - won't somebody please think of the ebooks! clagnut.com/blog/2426

Not my usual kind of conference, but it was fantastic to co-present a design workshop with our clients at UCL, having helped them with their research into digital exclusion. We co-designed an app to help people with longterm health conditions, and are currently co-writing a handbook on inclusivity.

Clearleft@clearleft.com

We are excited (as you can see) to be up in London today at this year’s Society for Social Medicine & Population Health conference. We'll be joining researchers from UCL in delivering a workshop on digital inclusion and working in partnership with digital consultancies.

Great reminder appearing in @clearleft.com’s Slack today, passed on by Rhian Evans, our super-experienced project manager: Project teams need to ask “What is the most important thing for us to finish next?” #projectManagement #agile

In countries like Australia, public events open by acknowledging the indigenous peoples of the land. Similarly, a law should be passed so that anyone espousing the virtues of AI should begin by acknowledging the copyrighted material stolen and the wilful damage to the environment.

“Electoral/Media/Tax/Housing reforms, Rejoin, Sanction Israel, Green Industrial Rev, restore all human rights” Josh is spot on about Labour’s current position

‪Every one of these ‘bold’ ideas has popular public support.‬ ‪And NOT doing them is why Labour is failing.‬ ‪Notice I didn’t mention immigration. Because that’s been manufactured by Farage, and is part ‘solved’ by rejoining the EU.‬ ‪See off the far right by doing good things for people.‬

The UK government is stuck treating the symptoms, not the root cause of online harms. Nothing changes until we break the business model that drives hate and extremism; the harvesting of our data to maximise engagement and fuel advertising. It's time to #BreakBigTech. Sign and share our petition ⬇️

Seems pretty obvious that people don't want Palantir involved with our NHS Another good reason to show Labour the door in the May local elections 💚

Palantir has no place in our NHS. The Labour government must get this Mandelson and Trump backed company out now. Listen to what health workers are saying. news.sky.com/story/nhs-ho...

I had such a good day at #WebDayOut yesterday. Really enjoyed giving my talk on web typography to a lovely crowd – warm, knowledgable and supportive. So glad we filled the house in the end, because the other speakers were brilliant, with talks that deserved, and needed, to be heard.

This was so much fun to do!
