Unlike my opponent, I come from the communities that have felt the brunt of this system. Lived experience is what drives me to do this work. Never before has Hennepin County had the chance to elect a leader with such close proximity to the issues effecting working families of Hennepin County.

I’m honored to have the endorsement of Attorney General Keith Ellison. PROSECUTE ICE: VOTE FRAZIER goes beyond just a statement. It means direct collaboration with our Attorney General, who is already suing the federal government for evidence we’ll need to begin prosecution.

The community demanded justice for Allison Lussier and refused to let her life be forgotten. This case highlights both the failures of our justice system and what is possible when community, prosecutors, and law enforcement collaborate to seek justice for victims.

Simon understands the importance of investigating non-fatal shootings the same way we do fatal shootings. A bill I got passed this past spring at the Capitol. When we find and prosecute non-fatal shooters, we prevent the next fatal shooting from happening.

We need secure, residential facilities that are resource intensive in Hennepin County— but we can’t simply regress to a failed approach identical to the Hennepin County Home School, as my opponent naively suggests.

I wasn’t always a DFL Legislator or a Labor Attorney. Before it all, I was a poor kid growing up on the southside of Chicago. I understand the issues of working families because I’ve actually lived them! Now, I’ve spent my entire career fighting to make life work for everyone.

Folk is a former military lawyer who later worked as a federal prosecutor for both Republican and Democratic presidential administrations. Frazier has worked as a public defender in Hennepin County, as well as an attorney for Minneapolis Public Schools and a labor attorney for the teachers union.
