I don't think most Canadians are aware PostMedia is owned by US media conglomerate Chatham Asset Mgmt & Trump-friendly. Their journalists gaslight us & promote #Conservative politicians. It is an attack on our 🇨🇦 #democracy. #Cdnpoli #bcpoli #abpoli #Cdnmedia #NeverVoteConservative #CanadaSky

Imagine if BC votes in BC Cons this weekend. We have an example of the stupidity it would bring. BC Cons are an exact replica of Alberta's UCP gov't. They've done major damage to health and education and made ridiculous economic decisions. Plus this referendum. #cdnpoli #bcpoli #BCelxn #yeg #yyc

The voting polls on Alberta’s referendum separation close later tonight but ahead of that we check back in with Charlotte Morritt-Jacobs on what Indigenous leaders and treaty rights experts are saying to Indigenous communities about the petition.

Great to see @bcgreens.bsky.social commit to proportional representation! Eby rejected an all-party committee’s citizens’ assembly recommendation then called a snap election for a bigger majority. Now polling shows that backfiring, leaving the race in the hands of a few swing ridings.

Thanks for the question. A Leading Pedestrian Interval (LPI) gives pedestrians a short head start (typically about five seconds) before vehicle traffic gets a green light. This helps pedestrians establish themselves in the intersection and improves their visibility to turning drivers. 1/4

I'm taking my "Norway's wealth tax didn't reduce tax revenue" victory lap.

@victoria.ca hi Gang, there's some chatter about the use of advanced pedestrian lights while on a bike. I had thought I heard any active transit was to observe these to get our uncaged selves out in front to be more easily seen, some say bikes wait to car light to change. What the correct way?

Standing up to big oil? OK, put our money where your mouth is: tax fossil fuel companies to recover the tax money you're cutting at the pump. Make THEM pay for it with their huge profits. That tax revenue is needed to pay for social services, so make the fossil fuel companies pay it.

Here is a 12th idea... how about a wealth tax? Plenty of these options are giveaways to the industries the CEOs and business leaders work for. None of them get after the core problem: Our tax code is a major driver of our inequality. We need to tax the rich.
