✍️ Just published a new post about my most-anticipated CSS proposals from Interop 2027! If you’re not familiar, the Interop project is a collaboration between browsers to pick shared focus areas. There’s *so much* good stuff this year, it was hard to pick just 10!

Yesterday, the CSSWG accepted my proposal for mesh gradients and diffusion curve gradients! Want to make gradients like this natively in CSS? Well, we've started the work on it. It's coming! Here's the Explainer: github.com/w3c/csswg-dr...

Chances are slim that I’ll get this year’s Masters gnome. :/ Sad that it might be the last year they ever release one. The aftermarket for the gnomes is crazy, but I’d be hard pressed to part with mine. (Especially the one I have from the Nov2020/Covid Masters.)

Running the module DDAL08-01: Beneath the City of the Dead on Monday night at our local D&D Adventurers League. It’s part 2 of 3 amid the rest of the Season 8 Waterdeep modules. The very thought of DMing terrified me for years, and now—because of AL—I am doing it regularly.

I really hope @dndbeyond.com will consider investing more into the AL community with the new “Season” stuff moving forward. New modules based on the books slated for release moving forward would be a great way to sell folks on the new stuff.

I may have printed and painted the smallest golf gnome ever. It’s a little tall for a 28mm TTRPG miniature, but it’ll do. (I really need to see about getting a 0.2mm nozzle for minis this small.) I might use it as a Gnome Barbarian whose weapon Master-y of choice is a (golf) greatclub.

I love new UA days. These look fun. Especially the Hell Knight.

Kinda refreshing to see a survey from WOTC that acknowledges some folks may hate the direction they’re headed in. I find their current approach refreshing, especially on Reddit where staff regularly engages with key D&D subs. I’m excited for the future of D&D.

Last night I ran my fourth ever session at D&D Adventurers League. I have learned a lot once the first module I ran. I still have plenty of room to improve, I feel pretty good about being able to run a tier 1 module with minimal prep now.

I have a greater appreciation for y’all that run D&D games on the regular now. I DMd my first D&D Adventurers League session tonight. It was more fun and more to juggle than I expected. (I’m glad I had help!) It might be a month or two before I try my hand at it again.

It’s funny… I always make an excuse for myself and potential mistakes I might make at the start of sessions, but a veteran pc complimented my session and said they didn’t think I needed to do that anymore. Will I make mistakes? Sure. But players won’t always know that. Already planning next sesh.

I asked ChatGPT to roast me… and ouch. This would be great for Vicious Mockery. You’ve got the confidence of a bard with no charisma modifier, swaggering into a tavern thinking you’re the main quest when you’re barely an unmarked side objective.”

“Your life’s so directionless, even a gelatinous cube has more defined edges. If ambition were loot, you’d still be rolling with starter gear—and somehow still encumbered.”

Stayed up way too late last night watching the first three episodes of #Andor Season 2. My gosh. That was so worth the wait. There are some scenes in Episodes 2 & 3 that I never imagined we’d see. That’s my only spoiler. I can’t believe we basically get FOUR movies over the next few weeks. Insane.

My only spoiler is that there is a scene in Ep. 3 that crosses into territory that hasn’t been seen in Star Wars. It’s not filler. It showcases how rotten the Empire is within its ranks. But victims of violence/assault may want to skip where things get very uncomfortable between 2 ppl. You’ll know.

Our adventuring party tossed a Behir that was polymorphic into a Giant Snail down a 40 foot hole and then set 5 barrels of gunpowder ablaze with fireball to nearly obliterate it. My steel defender was lost in the process but my artificer will just create another. So much fun. #DungeonsAndDragons

i would like articles about layoffs to acknowledge if the ceo took a paycut or not. i know the answer is typically no, but i think journalists should make them say so
