As bad as things are, the growing popularity of country music is the only thing that truly disturbs me.

A show picked someone who is far inferior to me, this week. It's another clear sign that Hollywood doesn't know what they're doing.

It's crazy how much I love autumn. So many good memories. This time of year makes me feel like I'm 20.

I'm having one of those nights where I've combined my love of music, scotch, and life itself.

While I am a Beethoven fanboy, he's not exactly what I listen to on a daily basis. Still, love for music is love for music. And I love music.

That being said, they're performing the 1st and 3rd in November, and I won't miss that, either.

The VSO is starting a Beethoven cycle in November, and I know I'm getting a little ahead of it, but they're performing the 9th in June, and I absolutely never miss a chance to hear it live. My friends have become used to my love of classical, in spite of my usual tastes.

I had some good news today, so I'm having a few drams. You'll have to excuse me. A crisp fall night and a few drinks make me a very happy boy.

Hey, #USA, this fucking garbage has power and influence in your country. How? Why? It's time for you to get off your fucking ass and start asking the hard questions.

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

Oh, dear. I had the good fortune to meet him a few times at conventions and had lunch with him once in Australia. Such a lovely fellow and of course an iconic figure in science fiction. RIP.
