Still bummed today that so few male comedians (especially standups) have condemned Shane Gillis's misogynist and unfunny set on SNL. Folks who have been deeply progressive on other issues have been silent about it. I don't want to put people on blast, but c'mon? Say something?

@marcmaron.bsky.social I really appreciated you making a video last week supporting up and coming comedians on Sirius XM. Will you be making a similar video supporting women and decrying misogyny in stand up comedy from people like Shane Gillis?

Why aren’t more male comedians publicly calling him out like this?

Liz Renzetti@lizrenzetti.bsky.social

Dan Levy doing what more men should do -- calling out Shane Gillis's misogyny. This is the top story on Variety right now, alongside a report on Russell Brand's rape trial beginning. In case we're still wondering why women are angry variety.com/2026/tv/news...

This is great to see particularly since American Studies is very much under scrutiny and pressure (and defunding, etc.) nationwide!

NEW: An artist made a GTA V mod that adds over 200 Flock cameras to Los Santos, which you can smash and shoot for money. It also has a 5 percent chance of misidentifying your vehicle and calling the cops on you. @regret.bsky.social has the scoop: www.wired.com/story/you-ca...

@mapquest.com I’m switching to you from Google Maps but am curious as to whether y’all have (or will have) a “search along route” feature, where you can add a gas station or something en route to a final destination. Any insight?

BREAKING: Liam Tadeo was just deported by ICE.

James Talarico@jamestalarico.bsky.social

A 5-year-old Texan just spent the first day of school in an ICE detention center. ICE kidnapped Liam Tadeo on his way to a soccer game with his dad. Liam should be in kindergarten. Instead, our government has thrown him in a prison camp hundreds of miles from home.

Video of an ICE agent pulling a gun on a wife and mother, who is a US citizen born and raised in the area, near Bailey's Crossroads in Northern Virginia yesterday. Chillingly, they claimed she “almost ran them over” until she told them she had video proving that was a lie.

AOC: Millennials are not punk kids anymore. We're grown adults with mortgages and kids, and that generation is starting to be decisive at the polls. And there is anger at being ignored, having our economic futures mortgaged by the generations that came before us and we're taking the reins

This country was one person's vote away this morning from putting any birthright citizen in danger of being deported tomorrow. We are so much closer to the abyss than we think. Man oh man.

I don’t know man, who is “the Democratic Party” if it’s not the voters?Democratic voters choose candidates, not party leaders. And party leaders need to listen to what voters are telling us - and right now they are demanding our party be bolder.

Jaime Harrison@jaimeharrison.bsky.social

I say this with no ill will or animosity: if you hate the Democratic Party, then please don’t run for our nomination. Don’t use our resources. Don’t rely on our volunteers. Don’t use our infrastructure. Don’t ask Democrats to invest their time, money, and energy in your campaign.
