Weird to think that PHP 4.x code I wrote back in grade 10 is more secure than most PHP online prior to the CVE disclosure last night.

Highland Park is pretty much unrecognizable from how it was just 10 years ago & i mostly stay away bcuz it bums me out what happened to such an amazing neighborhood. here's to the restsiance pushing against gentrification in El Sereno.

Is El Sereno the next Highland Park? Residents organize against gentrification As a developer buys up properties along Huntington Drive, El Sereno residents are organizing to preserve the working-class community they call home.

even if we must live within the constraints of capital and bureaucracy, i am committed towards that dream. its what i work for every day. it just will take a while. we start with the eastside & other spaces, and then expand until we are truly autonomous.

i literally keep getting these scenes of some edgar dropping his experiences into a mic and a band of women opening a pit and becoming the next musicians i love. they just need a bit of care and space to try shit out, and i know it can happen. it must

the folks at the eastside cafe laid out a dream for me: the homes that caltrans removed people from could be reclaimed. and they are being reclaimed. theres a set of bungalows that they fought for- they laid out how they wouldve built a community garden, art space and youth enrichment

that couldnt happen cause of the pinche city, but that dream still floats in my head. i want to cultivate the musicians that wouldnt have a space otherwise. where i had no place to go and learn, maybe another kid from the 90032 can. giving them the freedom to put whatever they need to into music
