More Pepperbee project shit~ I love this guy, very happy with the animations. Here is a test of this boss' "weak state". He otherwise blocks you. #pepperbee

I really enjoyed doing #PUG24 last year and decided I'm going to try to do all 24 days this year! Figured I should post them over here as well :)

What can you say? This was the definite winner they will never top. Also one of the best things I've seen at any PRGE #PRGE #PRGE2026

Day 02 / #PUG24 2026 VITAL This was not only the first time I've made an animation in Aseprite, but also the first time I've played with their scripting API All the sideways movement was able to be automated via scripting 💛

While I'm highlighting Canadian animation, "My Favorite Things That I Love" by Janet Perlman is such a delight... each new ridiculous character design makes me laugh on sight, it's just so so good and so god damn funny without being anything near a conventional comedic short

There's some new scraper or AI tool that's led to me receiving three emails this past week about how I "build VR gladiator games" My portfolio's most recent work was the marketing website for GORN 2. Apparently the tools aren't smart enough to realize I made the website, not the game

All three emails are from different domains. Two of them are sales calls for helping me with "my next prelaunch/Kickstarter campaign", and the other one is a bit odd in that it ended with an ask for if I want resources on how to prototype game ideas faster

As more and more of the corporate world outsources work to AI, this is a great insight into how my portfolio is "conceptualized" by tools Might be time to take another look into how the emerging world of "AEO" (AI/Agent Engine Optimization) is evolving

In high school science, we shared tables with one other student. I realized that my TI-83 calculator had the full latin alphabet on it, so my friend & I would covertly chat during class I wonder if my teacher ever caught on to why we shared a calculator during lectures

Ethan & I collab'd 13 YEARS AGO for GBJam #2, during our first semester of college. I was 17!! It was sooooo long ago... Despite losing contact for over a decade, we found ourselves meshing with each other as if no time had passed 😄

The biggest takeaway I got from this jam was that I fell back into the "write all the systems first" trap. I just really wanted to write the graphics pipeline!! Should Battle III ever see the light of day, I'll make sure to allocate more time towards play testing & game design 😜

Making a thread for me & @efan.me's #gbjam 14 game We participated in GBJam #2 back in 2013, and are teaming up once again 13 years later! To start, I've built a lil' rendering pipeline in WebGPU that takes a grayscale image, limits it to 4 colors, and then applies a color palette

With my conference travels over, I've been able to focus on game dev again Ethan's been crushing it on the art front! Plugging his sprites into my rendering pipeline has me super giddy

Last night I hooked up animations via JavaScript generators to start iterating on various effects Trying to explore the space to see what's possible, what looks good, and what isn't too complicated to manage in code 😛

Approximating the Lorenz attractor with a chaotic leaky water wheel. The orange dot is the centre of mass of the water. It traces (a projection of) the familiar attractor as the wheel spins seemingly randomly left and right.

The conundrum of wanting to buy a bunch of courses while I'm looking for a job (lots of time, frugal living) that I'll be able to afford once I have a job (but alas, won't have as much time)

It makes me grateful that so many educators have published ample amounts of free lessons online for many of the subjects I'm interested in learning/leveling up in

Lmfao I hate timezones I saw that there was a Chicory speedrun today at 3:30. Turns out the screenshot I saw was from someone 3 timezones over, and that it's just now wrapping up as I type this Well, at least my Chicory shirt means more Wishes Unlimited representation at PAX 😄

Fog was one of those things that I had early in my voxel engine but had to adjust 2 or 3 times later. The pop-in problem had a lot of edge-cases

urp's fog is kinda ass? like it doesn't hit 0 at the camera far plane which is kinda sorta what fog needs to do so things don't pop in? unless i'm missing something

While the pop-in/out issue was mostly resolved in my final code, I used a solid color instead of the sky gradient which caused weird blending at certain terrain & camera angles

I'm 30 and a friend that's only a few years younger than me had to ask what a SWF file was in the middle of a conversation about Flash games

If you see this skeet I'm not shaming you, just taking in the passing of time I wonder what percentage of Gen Z never played a Flash game, or know what the technology was

I bought the PS1 3-game collection at a garage sale when I was a freshman in high school (~2010) and I could not believe how primitive the original game was. It wasn't even 3D!

As someone who covered the release of Grand Theft Auto 1 allow me to say: video games sure have come a long way since the days of Grand Theft Auto
