"For Latine communities, the compounded impact of anti-immigration laws, surveillance, and the threat of deportation, detention, or forced family separation often makes traveling for abortion care impossible." Fund Texas Choice's latest for @truthout.org. Read now: nnaf.org/Q

Nine years ago, @bradlander.bsky.social former GOBK and demonstrated the power of community organizing. He showed us the power of standing together in advocacy and I will be forever grateful for his inspiration- and that he’s only continued to inspire and serve.

1 in 5 abortion patients have to travel outside of their state to receive safe, essential health care. Imagine driving 8 hours to see your dentist or boarding a flight to see your primary care provider. It’s absurd.

Really moving speech from Marcela Mitaynes at the New York Against ICE rally. "No tengan miedo por que no estan solos. Aquí estamos con ustedes." "Don't be afraid because you are not alone. We are here with you."

"The fear and uncertainty with which we're forced to live is what Trump wants. He wants us to be afraid. To hide. But now more than ever, we must step up. And do not be afraid because you are not alone. We are here with you." - Marcela Mitaynes

What an outpouring of New Yorkers joining together to protect our communities & say no to ICE. Marching around 26 Federal Plaza where so many are torn from their families. @thenyic.bsky.social @maketheroadny.bsky.social @1199seiu.org @indivisible.org @cwaunion.bsky.social @citizenactionny.org

Shanah Tovah to all our friends and family celebrating Rosh Hashanah. May it be a sweet year filled with advocacy and justice!

Shout it with us (and @teenvogue.com): Immigrant justice is repro justice

Governor Hochul still needs to sign critical legislation protecting abortion rights and gender-affirming care in NY State! With attacks from our fascist federal government heating up every day, signing this legislation now is critical -- great info below for how to contact the Governor on this!

"We're gonna keep showing up until they stop abducting our neighbors."

Trump’s administration decided to wastefully destroy $10 million worth of contraception purchased by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for people in low-income countries.

RFK Linking Tylenol To Autism Could Harm Pregnant People’s Health, Doctors Warn

Psyched for this upcoming event from our friends at @bkforge.bsky.social with @jessicavalenti.bsky.social focused on grassroots engagement and how local advocacy is critical for reproductive justice. Still time to sign up!

HAVE WE MENTIONED HOW THRILLED AND EXCITED WE ARE THAT THE @jessicavalenti.bsky.social WILL BE DOING A Q&A WITH US?!?

@governor.ny.gov could join us in calling for a #SpecialSessionNow to protect NYers from the MAGA budget. Instead, she's cutting off access to healthcare for 450,000 NYers. NYS has the resources to meet NYers' needs -- we just need leaders who are willing to fight for us!

Why is @governor.ny.gov caving to Trump and taking away our healthcare? If she really wants to protect New Yorkers, she'd #taxtherich so every New Yorker can see a doctor without going broke. It's really that simple...and popular!

With attacks against abortion and gender-affirming care reaching new heights, it's imperative that New York State be a beacon for anyone seeking care. Tell Governor Hochul she can solidify NY's reputation as a champion for repro health by signing these three bills ⤵️ action.aclu.org/send-message...

starmer is doing all the anti-immigrant and anti-trans "popularism" stuff the centrists are demanding US dems do and this is the predictable result:

A reminder than there is no reproductive justice without economic justice. #LaborDay

What @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social does that no other candidate is doing, is love our city.

It was a Mississippi law that the Supreme Court used to overturn Roe v. Wade. State health officials now claim they want to improve maternal health when Mississippi never expanded Medicaid, which would allow more people to see a doctor *before* they get pregnant

"Right here in Rockland County, ICE agents are breaking into people’s homes, targeting kids at school, and ambushing families at mandated immigration hearings. This is an unprecedented human rights crisis,” said NYCLU senior organizer Ignacio Acevedo at a rally to protest ICE detainments in NY-17.

As state governments threaten @plancpills.bsky.social and the dissemination of abortion info, it’s even more important for those of us who can to share the information. Order your Plan C stickers here, give out widely: www.plancpills.org/stickers

A United States Senate investigation has identified more than 500 credible reports of human rights abuses in US immigration detention since January, including alarming allegations of mistreatment of pregnant women and children.

Many of President Donald Trump’s picks for federal judges have anti-abortion views and would have lifetime appointments with Senate confirmation, which could affect access to reproductive care.

In our own backyard, children are being kidnapped and deported. And our representatives are busy shaming the democratic candidate for mayor instead of protecting our community from ICE.

Also, it's a bit, um, rich for Cuomo to try to attack Mamdani as representing the wealthy when this is where *he* lives. nypost.com/2025/03/07/r...

We remember exactly where we were (screaming our heads off) when all those hours and hours and days and weeks and months of canvassing paid off! #NoMoreCuomo @zellnor.bsky.social

True: @zohranmamdani lives in 1 unit of rent-stabilized housing. Also true: Andrew Cuomo oversaw the loss of 96,064 units of rent-stabilized housing. And killed NYC’s program helping people move out of shelter. Leaders must show moral clarity. Andrew, time to move out. 🧵 x.com/andrewcuomo/...

To support trans people, and their right to access gender-affirming care in New York, there is more Gov. Hochul must do. There are three bills awaiting her signature that would help ensure gender-affirming care remains available and accessible in New York. Add your name to urger her to sign:
