I feel like 2026 is going to go down as one of those years where we had more good and great movies than we realized at the time.

I just saw "I Play Rocky." I look forward to the following underdog anthems: "I Play Cobra" "I Play Rocky IV" "I Play Stop or My Mom Will Shoot"

Ossoff: "The crisis we must meet is deeper than this presidency. Trump's rise is proof that business as usual has failed, that our politics, sickened by corruption, is failing the American public and compromising our national integrity. And that the hour is late to fix what's broken."

Hey everyone! I have a story in this. Please check it out!

I got to meet the very gracious and friendly @davidarquette briefly last night at #screamfest. I don’t usually approach celebrities in public but my dad, who was Bozo on TV in Florida in the 60’s and 70’s (and who passed away last year) had been extremely excited…

…that Arquette had purchased the rights to Bozo and was going to do something with it. It would have meant a lot to my dad to know that I’d thanked him. Here’s a pic of my dad Alan Rock in his full glory.

Today, a project I’ve been working on for a long time experienced a major setback. I’m bummed about it, wondering if that effectively kills it and yet it has become kind of an unpleasant stress-bomb for some time. So in a way this frees it? I don’t know. This industry used to be fun I swear.

Have y’all seen these AI deepfakes they’re making of me? They don’t have any real attacks, so they’re firing up their data centers and making up fake ones. I don’t need to use deepfakes. The truth about Ken Paxton is bad enough.

What this guy said.

Ron White: Eight of Ken Paxton’s assistants turned him into the FBI for fraud... They sued and won $6 million. Guess who paid that $6 million? You and me paid the $6 million for his bribery. His own party impeached him. He’s a criminal.

My documentary professor described "Triumph of the Will" as being "almost Wagnerian in its mythic significance", the most pretentious thing ever said. Later we found that EXACT PHRASE in our documentary text. For the rest of that semester, we used that phrase as often as possible just to mock him.

I’m saddened to learn about the passing of legendary cinematographer Rodney Charters, ASC. Probably best known for the amazing “24”, his contributions to film and TV span 6 decades. I had the privilege of interviewing him some years ago. What a storyteller. www.camnoir.com/ep14-2/

For those of us who thought Mitch McConnell was dead this whole time, it feels wonderful to have been half-right.

I once had a dream that I was working on a TV show called “Glorious Ladies of Bowling”. When the abbreviation came up I laughed myself awake.

Right now someone is on a movie set making a lousy Amityville movie for no money and I just want to hug them, to tell them that they don’t need to do this. It’s not going to be good, and the only reason to do it is if the set itself is fun. Even then, go swimming instead.
