THIS IS IT. The special general elections for Florida’s 1st & 6th Congressional Districts are on APRIL 1, 2025. If we flip these seats, we can STOP Project 2025. No excuses! Mark your calendars! Show up!

Push back against the TikTok conspiracy theories. This was not the federal government upset they couldn’t control it. It was not them trying to stop people from communicating or sharing news. It was a national security threat. Full stop.

My work computer has been installing an update for the past 30 minutes. The fan sounds like it’s about to actually explode. It better be able to make me breakfast or something after all this.

How do I tell BlueSky to just stop showing me anything Trump related? I’ve muted every single word I can think of, but that doesn’t stop the posts that are *images* of text.

I did some shopping on Amazon for a religious co-worker and wound up purchasing something faith-related. Now Amazon apparently thinks I'll be leaving for the seminary any moment.

Wow, I do not like this.

I just got an e-mail that my therapist is back in office after taking parental leave. I'm scheduled for the next three weeks. My depression is about to catch some serious hands.

I see people musing that the vibe here has changed, and I would urge people to remember that there's a lot of anxiety about the change of administration in two weeks and that's going to leak into a lot of other places in one's life. Be as gracious as you can with yourself and others.

My posts are far too good to receive so little engagement. I’m not sure if it’s the fault of Blue Sky, all of Blue Sky’s users, the deep state, or something else. But I’m for damn sure it isn’t my fault.

The real controversy over #Billboard releasing its list of the 25 greatest pop stars of the 21st century isn’t Taylor being second. It’s Alicia Keys not making the list proper and being just an honorable mention. #TaylorSky

It’s important to remember what constitutes “fighting” though. Yes, show up to protest, write your representatives, and take other action. But turn off the news and block the trolls when it gets too hard and you need to care for yourself. You don’t change anything with self flagellation.

The days after New Year are always a bummer for me. Not because the holiday season is over, but because it marks the end of gas station availability of Christmas Tree Cakes. :(

I consider myself pretty market-oriented when considering solutions to policy problems, but I don’t know how any honest observer can look at the state of American wealth inequality and think “this is fine.”

IU’s loss to ND showed they didn’t deserve to be in the playoff because it confirmed existing data: IU was incapable of beating high-tier opponents. Oregon’s loss didn’t do that. Oregon beat everyone they played, including Ohio State if I’m not mistaken. I rate this take a 3/10.

Guess Oregon didn’t deserve to be in the playoff.

I try to avoid politics on here because if I engage I often end up tilting at endless windmills; still, I’m tired of the “can you believe Republicans treat Trump and Democrats differently??” posts. We get it. There’s hypocrisy in politics. Can we get some new material?

one major improvement i've seen in the world over the course of my lifetime is the emergence of lightly-salted sweets. i just swung by a bakery to pick up a chocolate chip cookie and it had the slightest flaking of kosher salt on it. that shit went crazy. i think we're doing great in that department
