Karen Bass: "On Saturday night, the president tweeted that 'because of the great work of the National Guard, the protests & the violence was curtailed.' The National Guard wasn't even here. They didn't even arrive until the next day. That's why it's very hard to not see this as a stunt or test case"

There was a joke on Night Court where someone asked the bailiff Bull if he knew what due process was and he said it was “how they make Velveeta” and honestly I’m delighted to see Rogan score better on that one

Joe Rogan explains to his audience why due process is important and quotes Ben Franklin — "it is better 100 guilty persons should escape than that one innocent person should suffer.” He argues against shipping people to a prison in El Salvador without trial because we think they’re gang members.

DOGE is shaping up to be the biggest failure of all time. All pain. No gain. Shrouded in secrecy, lies, and false projections. A scam on the American people.

We called out Salazar, Rubio, Giménez, and Díaz-Balart “Traitors” on our billboard for not protecting immigrants. Now, Cuban American businessman and political donor Mike Fernandez is doing the same. No one is buying into their lies about trying to “protect” our communities. Pause video to read.

If the government can pay a foreign state to imprison you and, in so doing, remove you from the protection of US law, the Constitution is worthless.

Allison Gill@muellershewrote.com

Why? Because if Trump can legally say “We can’t bring him home” without having to prove it, that means he doesn’t have to bring anyone home. And if he doesn’t have to bring anyone home, he can send anyone there forever. END/

L - The official photo from the Kremlin of US Special Envoy @SteveWitkoff putting his hand over his heart as he greets his friend Vladimir Putin again this week. R - Putin’s latest missile attack killing at least 21 people, including 7 children, on Palm Sunday. Putin’s stooge.

Due process is a cornerstone of American liberty. Without due process, the government has unlimited power over individuals, irrespective of any laws. Therefore, no individual rights and no accountability for the government's actions. The move to autocracy from a Consittional Republic is underway.

Ahead of Germany’s election, with anti-immigrant sentiment rising, they released viral videos showing life without immigrants. History proves that when a country starts erasing certain people, it doesn’t end well. 🧵

MAJOR BREAKING: Governor JB Pritzker just revealed that during COVID, Donald Trump told him he would only send life saving equipment if he agreed to praise him on the Sunday talk shows. Is Donald Trump evil or just completely fucking deranged?

Data driven. Trump is losing the vast majority of legal cases because judges, right and left, are ruling on the merits, not on politics. It does not take a legal scholar to understand that Trump has launched an assault on the Constitution & the rule of law. Why do you suppose he is doing that?

Adam Bonica@adambonica.bsky.social

1/🧵 Judges across ideological lines are ruling against Trump at strikingly similar rates (84% liberal, 86% centrist, 82% conservative). This isn't partisan opposition to Trump—it's the judiciary functioning as intended by cutting across partisan lines to uphold the Constitution.

This is similar to the rallying cry "Je suis Charlie.” Either you support free speech or you don’t. Either you support due process or you don’t. We are all in this together, regardless of our opinions or the content of our speech.

@krismayes.bsky.social gets to point on the haphazard and chaotic Doge initiative. Moving fast and breaking things might work in the startup culture, but with Doge it will prove deadly for, realistically, no real economic benefit.

AZ AG Kris Mayes: Let’s talk about that visual of Elon Musk with the ridiculous chainsaw. I don’t think he’s ever actually used a chainsaw in his life. I don’t know what that was—some lame attempt to make himself look manly.
