For people hosting media servers like @jellyfin.org from home, how do you make sure streaming doesn't use all your bandwidth? e.g. if I'm streaming a movie, my upload bandwidth is barely able to stream the movie let alone let other people in my home upload stuff do you just have big internet plans?

passed a meaningful "x years of experience in y role" milestone, easily visible on linkedin, and my inbound recruiter email rate has exploded. sort of validating, also sad that there's such a rigid, arbitrary filter on evaluating competence for roles

What a joy, and an inconvenience, to love beer so

I have heard from zero people who are satisfied with Dia, when making the switch from Arc. Arc being sunset seems inevitable at this point but it's still a huge bummer Anyway everyone move to @zen-browser.app

Just saw a huge Venmo update on Android that makes it moderately usable again. Ah, what we could have

Wowowow made a mushroom bourguignon, with soft tofu for some protein, and it really hits. I think it's so much easier to get into cooking in the colder months when the oven, and slower cooking, doesn't feel horrible in the kitchen

Beef bourguignon will always be beef boar•`gig•nun to me

I always figured the Gmail "unsubscribe" button was really just "put emails from this address in a special list so the user never sees them," but apparently there's a whole email spec standard for unsubscribing and Gmail uses it! acritelli.medium.com/how-does-the...

Hot tea at the coffee shop, but still sitting outside, season 🍂🍵

Tingling tingling tingling about self hosting again

Lantern fly landed on my neck aaaand now I'm cursed

any personal finance trackers / budgeting tools / other financial data use cases on atproto yet? portability between providers would be extremely cool for this area because setting up a new tool (e.g. Mint, YNAB, Rocket Money) is cumbersome and personalized. definitely needs permissioned data

The most fun thing ever to randomly see

Discovering the joys of kiwis

cannot describe the yearning I feel for solar and a battery at home, somehow, in my sun-challenged apartment

Gotta find a pair of glasses that don't look like this when I'm on a video call

May I someday cease to be surprised by food's power in combatting anxiety

I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS!! 6+ months of work by SO many people is converging on a fantastic thing for researchers online. We want to democratize access to research infrastructure online, for good, and we've put together an amazing team to make it happen. ❤️

One episode in and immediately hooked on Silo

feeling extremely grateful to live in NYC after the third text in as many weeks from people I haven't spoken with in years, who are visiting the city and want to say hi

DID IT, sans the camping part. learned a lot, immediately onto planning the next trip loved the scenic parts, did not love the nyc riding as much because it's so much busier, and less exciting. great views though

We opened this to anyone in the USA. TAP IN. blackskyweb.xyz/about/jobs/f...

wrecked by someone at work screenshotting this meeting transcription and sending it to me while they were trying to recap on a meeting they missed

I have a few long distance friends who I primarily talk with via random phone calls when either of us are free, and it's delightful. Much easier to stay and feel close, and much less guilt at not talking for a while because we know the next time we do it'll be a real conversation and connection

Hey @1password.bsky.social, time to change course.

new Sara Bareilles album is great. outside of the biggest hits, I think a lot of her past music creates a haunting, beautiful atmosphere and this album really doubles down on that

Best octopus that ever lived, thank you @trezy.pet

here we go baybeeeee, let the permission data explosion begin

Interest in organizing a big bike packing trip increasing day by day

I love them. Thank you @trezy.pet

Arrived and they are EXACTLY what I wanted woohooo This is the perfect week to test them out too. Great weather, few plans, can't lose

my mundane superpower from working in ecommerce is knowing which (of roughly ~3) post-purchase delivery experience products an ecommerce company uses based on the way the order tracking page looks (in the US it's usually Narvar)

So excited for the new bike bags I ordered to arrive before I kick off a trio of long bike rides with friends over the next month. These bags are gonna save my back and I cannot waitttt

I vaguely knew @happyview.dev would help make the atproto app I've been thinking about, but @trezy.codes your demo yesterday had so, so much more in it than I expected. So much you've accomplished with it. Excited for V3!!!

jeeze it seems like half the people I follow on here are all at @atproto.nyc today

checked in at @atproto.nyc community day 2026 [uvpmndfw] #atprotonyc

Leggoooo @atproto.nyc community day

think I found an exposed email subscription management page for foot locker when I was trying to unsubscribe from their ad newsletter? e.g. "Tell the customer they will continue to receive order & ship confirmation and account related messages."

Yes, the number of GitHub monthly commits has grown by more than a billion since April. However, to be fair those are all from me attempting to keep my GitHub Actions working.
