seeing a lot of "I used <new personal AI bot> to <automate some time-sensitive task>" posts, like booking restaurant reservations as soon as they're available to ensure the person gets a slot. it's definitely going to be less worthwhile once everyone's bots are competing, but it's also so sad??

feels like scalping, but made slightly more accessible for tech bros. latest post I saw was someone bragging that they won't have any competition because they're competing with elderly people for slots at the pool. give them the slots????? let them swim??? you're weaponizing tech literacy??????????

I am all for better solutions and systems for problems like "get a spot at this place," "buy a concert ticket before the website crashes / someone's bots buy 1000 tickets before you," etc., but I don't think this is any better
