It's cool seeing Brazil become a reference against the far-right, but you can't focus exclusively on online strategies. Lula also had politics that engaged people: he banned online gambling, reduced work hours, improved wages, defended public healthcare, etc. You don't mobilize masses on centrism.

Probably extracted by a US special ops team so they can Maduro Lula

I know absolutely nothing about Lula except that i saw someone share a clip on insta of him in celebration kissing a trans woman politician on the cheek and oh my god is that a radical act for a politician in 2026 so lets fucking go

people say things like "embrace cringe, be free" or whatever and i always agree with them but then sometimes something like this comes along and it's so terrible it reminds me that there is a line, and apparently it's before yud ai cartoon rap about the singularity that sounds like imagine hamilton.

I love transit so much I just fuckin love the bus you wanna go somewhere get on a fuckin bus. You get to read a book on the bus. Maybe you have a nice little walk on either side of the bus. Maybe you have a little treat! And if the bus is a streetcar? Or a train? Ooh baby. Good stuff!

i have several people going to see "the devils" with me tonight but none of them have seen it or heard about it so i am very curious to see their reactions

the mainstream democrats do not want the republicans to face any consequences because they are on the same team, they are the same people, they are friends and colleages. their job is to occupy the positions of people who could actually oppose the republicans & make sure that never happens

Kamala Harris: I think that going in the direction of impeachment is not a good idea. I was in the Senate for the last go-round, and the votes aren’t there. I think after the election, we all have to just also agree that our attitude has to be to get stuff done…

1. Not sure when a new, on-the-record rape allegation against a sitting president isn’t considered news — especially considering Trump was found liable by a jury in a similar case — but it was ignored by most mainstream media outlets

ok but why does this port-a-potty handle look like some sort of ketamine space horse

whoa, openai is claiming they disproved the exponential time hypothesis!? if that's true i wonder how many np-complete problems actually have solutions that aren't exponential.

If a politician comes out against a vulnerable population like trans people, there are really only two options: They are bigots. They are spineless cowards willing to throw any marginalized people under the bus to appeal to the worst voters– trans people are just the wedge but it won't stop there.

republicans 2026 message: "we're going to make it legal to be white and illegal for your bitch daughter in law to keep your grandkids away from you."

YouTube removed the Subscriptions tab from the main navigation on iPhone and I'm so annoyed about it I am honestly considering just cancelling my Premium since most of the channels I actually care about are on Nebula anyway. I want to see the channels I subscribe to but they keep pushing slop at me.

I sent a complaint email a while back that there's no way to stop it from putting a bunch of shorts I have to scroll past on the top of like every page and their response was basically "lol deal with it."

A new survey of 1,000 American adults found that the strongest supporters of transgender sports bans are not the people who admire women most: they are the people who hold the most hostile views about women. www.helenwebberley.com/news/transge...

I just saw a post about this being 26 years ago and that's wild– I was living in Chicago and flew to London for this, one of the best shows I've ever been to. The music was incredible, I danced to Bogdan Raczynski next to Björk, and got to meet Aphex Twin and give him a copy of my first record.

I actually didn't have a passport before this and thanks to my turbo ADHD I put off getting one until the day before my flight. I ended up getting an appointment the morning I left and with the expedited fee managed to get it by that afternoon when I picked it up on my way to the airport.

Oh damn, RIP. He was great in Star Trek but my favorite will always be his role in Babylon 5.

My pal Danielle Koenig shared that her father Walter Koenig passed away last night at age 90. A performer whose kindness and warmth shone through the screen. He will be well remembered.
