I’m not sure what advantages young people have in today’s workforce beyond youth itself.

We need to make something like the "Anti-technology Technology Club" Or if it already exists, I want to get in

@offprint.app is insanely good for a first release. I was literally mid-plan on building my own blog. Still might. But it's really hard to justify when this exists. Might just throw them an annual sub and start writing. Kudos to the team!

After 5 intense years at GitHub shipping security tools and Copilot Metrics, I'm closing this chapter. Taking a sabbatical first, then back to building something of my own. I couldn't name everyone who made this, but you know who you are, and you made it worth every bit. I'll miss you all.

what are the chances this thing will be abandonware in a month? you can make something in a few days but will you commit to maintaining and improving it for the next few years?

Building your product solely on data may seem like a smart move at first, but it sets the stage for a slow erosion of trust (fueled by anti-consumer practices and a lack of innovation) first from your customers, and then, inevitably, from your own team.

Blindly following the competition leads to the same outcome. Operating from a scarcity mindset (reacting to others’ innovations without a clear sense of your own direction or strategy) leaves you steering the company like a headless chicken. Innovation comes from inspiration, curiosity, and care.

As someone deeply passionate about this industry, it pains me to see how many companies are operating this way. Software is no longer just an “alternative” for doing things more efficiently. It has become the default, and all too often, a hostile one. We (users, workers, humans) deserve better.

You are up to date.
