We will find out soon whether Trump will pay a price for this. I don't remember any Republicans doing much of anything for rural America. Their donor base aren't small farmers. But that has never diminished their willingness to embrace the next culture war resentment

"It was nearly inevitable that Trump’s moves would batter farmers – by pushing down soybean and other farm exports and by pushing up the price of fuel, fertilizer and farm equipment. 1/2 #EconSky

Well that's the reason these corrupt dimwits Kushner and Witkoff were made "special envoys" in the first place. Obviously they are not there to negotiate any peace agreement but corrupt little backroom deals benefiting themselves and Trump's cronies.

Russia is pitching economic cooperation to Trump and his associates without first ending its war against Ukraine. A US proposal to restore Russian energy supplies to Europe through Ukraine alarmed Kyiv because it resembled ideas promoted by Kremlin envoy Dmitriev. www.kyivpost.com/post/88292

Everyone keeps asking me how I’m feeling about early voting so far. I’m feeling like nobody *actually* knows anything, and this is the most important midterm of our lives. I’d rather be us than them, but we can’t get comfortable. We can’t get complacent. Go vote like we’re down 3%.

I know it's serious but this is at the same time incredibly funny. This avalanche of insults, smears and bottomless neediness because you want, of all things, a Nobel PEACE prize. The Onion must be jealous. In other times this circus alone would have sunk a president.

(Reuters) - US President Donald Trump on Sunday escalated his invective against Norway, calling it a "shit house country" and ‌saying Norwegian immigrants were not welcome in the United States because the Nobel committee .. had not awarded him a Peace Prize. www.reuters.com/world/us/tru...

Why should anyone in 1937 have cared about a couple Nazis fighting in Spain? That had nothing to do with anything. Yglesias really really knows how to end up on the stupid side of any major issue. But he can't stop talking. And then he was all offended that people hounded him on Bluesky

I think this becomes quite understandable in the context of an international fascist movement that has swept much of the planet in a decade, with horrifying and very extreme consequences for the entire species

In August, President Trump announced he had signed the “biggest oil deal in world history.” ProPublica reviewed the deal and found it gives a small group of people largely handpicked by the Trump administration long-term control of the enterprise.

Elon Musk is spending $445M+ to buy the midterms for one very simple reason. He's terrified that a Democratic Congress might finally hold him accountable.

It's getting crazier and more brazen by the day.

The wealthiest person in the world—a man who's gotten rich through government money and has spent half a billion dollars on this election cycle—is complaining about elites getting rich off the government and spending big on elections.

Absolutely nuts. Even for this administration

Oh look, Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner is exactly as corrupt as we all know he is. “More than $700 MILLION in transfers” — Saudi Arabia & UAE set up a multi-billion dollar slush fund for him. www.vanityfair.com/story/jared-...

All these so-called “independent” Republicans will go right back to voting for Johnson as speaker, confirm every Trump nominee, vote with Trump on everything, and continue doing zero oversight on his corrupt regime. A vote for any one of them is a vote to continue all of that.
