If you'd like to help celebrate the milestone, you can do so with one-time or monthly support at buymeacoffee.com/pinballprimer. The Pinball Primer has kept me going through a period of continued, extended unemployment, and any kindness from users is immensely appreciated.

Please ignore the MTL release of Meremanoid that came out today. We have had a hearty band at work (Chapu, Popi, Mr. Nobody, Misty, Shentok and I) working hard on an all-human patch. Fully playable in English, in it final editing pass now. Popi provided these screencaps today. More news later.

The Pinball Primer has just reached the milestone of having rulesheets for 1,000 games! The website has come a long way from its first publication in November 2023, when it was still called Pinball Rest Stop and featured tutorials for 12 games.

She did it! an entire thousand pinball tutorials!

"It's already here, what do you mean you think you can refuse?" is just another variation of the agency-stealing inevitability narrative. The future is not yet written, and we can shape it, starting with rejecting inevitability and claiming our agency. /fin

Remember that software engineering is a field that was created by women. Margaret Hamilton gave it its name. Their bosses, who were men and often took the credit, didn't understand what software engineering was. You just draw flowcharts and then women do the "menial work" of making it run, right?

ah damn, RIP Margaret Hamilton. she took safety-critical software engineering seriously, and got people to the moon and back. news.mit.edu/2026/margare...

Today is a great day to remind you that if you want to experience the magic of a true original in anime and get a taste of how Yuniko Ayana was already cutting loose earlier in her career, it's never the wrong time to check out Flip Flappers.

Okay now _this_ is a pinball tournament series to be excited about Revival of the 2010s PAPA format! No particular involvement from the IFPA! I believe the people running it are good and say trans rights! www.pinburghtour.com

"Reading old 'trap' manga where they never bring up HRT is like reading a cooking manga where nobody knows what a stove is and the characters are constantly saying shit like 'too bad there's no way to make food hot'" - a paraphrased forum post I just read that made me laugh
